The reality is you say the address you want to go to, press one button and the car does 100% of the driving. There’s nothing like it anywhere for sale to consumers. Yet Bloomberg has to go out of there way to call it “partially automated driving system marketed as full self driving”… and the comments from people who have never built or sold anything for money have to rush to give it some form of Lx label. The reality for people who buy this is you get in the car, say your destination, and it drives you anywhere

All of the above, plus he's kind of dumb, & he appears to possess hilariously poor timing. No big deal. Ceremonial leadership roles only apply to those who beliefs are ceremonial. I know of no substantiative believers (Catholics included) who relationship with God depends in any way upon the pope. Good point though, totally agree.

Christendom is about to finally deal with that fact that American political christofacism has exercised a counterfeit divine mandate to sew violence and hegemony abroad for at least ~140 years. I don’t know if anyone but an American Pope would have had the brass balls to call the banners among Catholics. Talk about an unforced error of catastrophic proportions.
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

Completely didn’t see this coming… like why would compressing a small model where you can iterate quickly during training.. can add thinking to trade off reaction time to learn temporarily and then compress it back be learning from your own thoughts would be faster than only using large models and distillation.. Wow! 🤯
Elon Musk@elonmusk

@Chansoo Our rate of advancement with the small model has been so fast that the large model has not yet caught up. V15 will be the large model.

Even if we do go nuclear, they're still nuts. Tbh, is there a more efficient way to make 900 lbs of U-235 suddenly unreachable for 200 years than by sinking a nuclear bunker buster? I think that's why UK so finicky with us -- I guess we moved them (B61-12) and they knew it.

All day yesterday fake news media was crying, 😭 “Trump’s going to start a nuclear war.” ☢️ Then, the moment a 2-week ceasefire is negotiated, they all started yelling, “Trump TACO’d again!” If they really believed we were at the edge of the nuclear abyss, they would have celebrated the ceasefire. They're making it very clear that they still hold to the standard of “Orange Man Bad." 🍊

I’m not politically or militarily intelligent - so looking for some ppl who follow me who are (not just random unintelligent comments), to tell me how any of this is even close to successful (if that’s even the right term) if in the end the following don’t happen: 1) Regime Change - freeing the Iranian ppl from the lives of oppression they are living? 2) Elimination of all nuclear material & capabilities - freeing the world of that threat by regime? 3) Something changes with the Strait that wasn’t in place before? Please, just ppl who are well versed in these things so I can become more intelligent!

Seems like a B61-12 on the Isfahan would fit the narrative. No ground troops, but we may as well use a tactical nuke to definitively bury whatever is left of nuclear material. Just saying. It's a decent deterrent. It's a smart play if we use it

In my new piece in The New York Times today, I argue the Iran war has reached a point Washington still refuses to say out loud: either the U.S. escalates to a ground war—or Iran emerges as a new center of global power. Think about—what stops this future? nytimes.com/2026/04/06/opi…

@ProfessorPape bomb kharg, 90% pullout, let the gulf decide what's next. tolerating an Islamic militant neighbor has been part of the calculus of that region for quite some time. this is dumb (not the attack, the pretense that Iran is anything like Iraq or Afghanistan).

let them kneel, just stand in front on them, they will most definitely change positions very quickly. but if not, let them bow repeatedly if this exercise is peaceful. if they did anyway, then it is, and you can let them be. if they don't, just stand before them until they leave

Destroying Kharg island is the fastest way to assure an overturned regime and an open strait, the risk to oil prices and global economy would be immeasurably elevated in the near term, but more predictably benefitted by the destruction of Kharg over the long term. Not saying it's worth it, just saying if it happens it's not a back breaker (except to the IRGC , which wouldn't survive it.

If you go from 2% of needed oxygen reaching your brain (3-4 ships/day) to 14-16% of needed oxygen reaching your brain (10-11 ships/day)... ...you are merely going to suffer irreversible brain damage & then death just a tiny bit slower than you otherwise would have.
MarineTraffic@MarineTraffic

Strait of Hormuz transit and risk monitor Transit activity in the Strait of Hormuz strengthened over the weekend, with crossings reaching 10 on Saturday and 11 on Sunday, according to #MarineTraffic data. Sanctioned vessels accounted for almost half of Sunday’s movements, highlighting a shift in traffic composition alongside rising volumes. No verified physical attacks or incidents during this period, despite elevated geopolitical rhetoric. While this suggests near term operational stability, evolving political developments may still shape vessel behaviour and risk exposure in the days ahead. Read the latest analysis by Dimitris Ampatzidis, Kpler Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst: okt.to/Ei1sNw Here’s a playback of vessel activity in the Strait of Hormuz over the past two days.
