'For women who aren’t partnered, there’s often no external occasion prompting this kind of celebration, so creating one yourself is a genuine declaration of self-worth.'" This totally misunderstands why we celebrate the milestones. Having a child or getting married isn't in any way a "declaration of self-worth" nor is that the thing that really needs declaring. Weddings and baby showers and baptisms are celebrations of the formation of the most essential building block of society: the family. And there is a somber element, a seriousness to these things: Our community is called together to recognize that they must see us through the good times and the hard ones. (That's part of why people gravitate toward churches to mark these milestones, even if they're not believers.) Life isn't just a series of aesthetic pursuits. Please believe that it is so much more than that.

Another reason why this is dishonest is because you can clearly see how she will criticize Obama and Biden just as harshly if not even more harshly than Russell Moore. So we know she’s full of it. This isn’t about pastors vs. politicians. It’s about appeasing her tribe.

OK, let me try to help you out. Russell Moore claims to be a minister of the gospel. And AS a minister of the gospel, he and organizations for which he works have taken money from hard left secular foundations to promote left-wing political priorities in the church. For example, while editor in chief of Christianity Today, the magazine took over $1 million from the largest private abortion funder in the country, the Hewlett foundation. Donald Trump, by contrast, is a secular political leader. While some believe he is a Christian, I personally haven’t seen evidence of this and do not believe this. So not only is he not a minister of the gospel, he is not trying to promote his political priorities through tortured theological claims. Hope that helps you spot the difference!

@JedNBrown @TylerLeeConway That's quite a strong judgment to make of a stranger whom you’ve never met with no evidence. Probably unwise, but that's your choice. I've been a professing Christian in good standing with my local church for ten+ years. My moral yardstick is scripture.

We are called to judge justly, which means without partiality and she does not do that. She'll can easily find fault with one group, but doesn't have that same fire for her own

His ideas have reshaped how the modern man, particularly in the West, sees himself. And this is not even limited to the West.
