Talking to a friend on here about his 24th anniversary and it got me thinking how rare staying committed to a single person for life really is. Who here can say they have been married to the same person for over 20 years? Cause that is impressive and something to be proud of!

@CrubersGate I have maybe two ounces of sugar? Should buy some and put it in jars just in case. Keep forgetting! I put it on the list.

BABY ROSEANNE UPDATE Roseanne‘s dad just called to give me a complete update. Covenant Hospital transferred Roseanne to U of M Lansing. They were able to stabilize her, but there is no surgeon there that can do the surgery. They taught the parents how to do bowel irrigations every six hours and they will be discharged today to home on that schedule. She is then scheduled for an appointment next Wednesday at U of M in Ann Arbor. The only surgeon in this region that does the surgery is at U of M in Ann Arbor. Why she wasn’t transferred there to begin with I don’t know. Ann Arbor may have not had any pediatric beds available at the time. Next Wednesday when they have their appointment in Ann Arbor, they should get a date for surgery. It did take them a couple days to stabilize her because she had persistant vomiting. I am glad that Roseanne is doing well. I’m sure you can see by this story that things have not gone as they should have. The very first time they went to the emergency room at Covenant and got the diagnosis they should have been referred right at that moment to university of Michigan in Ann Arbor to a hospital that could do the surgery. I have no idea why no one told these parents that the surgeon at covenant could not do that surgery. That information was never relayed to them until after they arrived in Lansing. They thought they were going to surgery in Lansing and we’re not even told until they had been there over a day that there was no surgeon at the hospital that could do the surgery either. U of M in Lansing did discover that Roseanne has a problem with one of her kidneys too. They will continue to monitor that situation with ultrasounds. Please continue to pray for Roseanne. 🙏🏻

Give A Shit About Nature
Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
Most flowers take hours to refill their nectar after a bee visits. Borage refills in 2 to 5 minutes. It's essentially a pollinator buffet that never runs out. Bumblebees, honeybees, mason bees, and hoverflies find it, they stay, and they keep coming back all day. The flowers face downward to protect the nectar from rain. The sugar content is unusually high. It blooms from spring through first frost and self-seeds every year, so you plant it once and it returns on its own. The flowers are edible. They taste faintly of cucumber and look good in a salad or frozen in an ice cube. Scatter seeds somewhere sunny. Walk away. Come back in a few weeks and count how many things are on it.

I read that orange oil diluted with water can take care of ants that are killing your plants. We shall see! I used 1 oz of oil in 1 qt of water.

@TriplePineAcres The stop blooming if they get too crowded or are planted too deep. If you were closer I’d gladly trade some rhizomes.

@UCantFoolMom I’d only ever gotten one iris a couple years ago, so this is an impressive output! I’m hoping they pop up new ones so I can move some landscaping around, they’re gorgeous

@DobermanStrong I miss them terribly but the best thing for my footing & stability was when my daughter moved into her new home taking the Dobermans. Thankfully I still get to dog sit them whenever I want. 😂🐾🥹
