UNIPH joins Kenya’s National Public Health Institute and AFENET in Kampala for a benchmarking visit (16–19 March 2026) to exchange experiences and strengthen collaboration on public health workforce development, governance, and partnerships across the region.

LLP staff and fellows joined a two-day stakeholder meeting on the upgraded Sample Tracking System at UVRI (Mar 9–10, 2026). The improved platform strengthens chain of custody, real-time analysis, and health emergency response.

UNIPH hosted a delegation from South Africa’s NHLS for a week-long exchange on the Laboratory Leadership Program. The visit focused on learning from UNIPH’s experience, mentorship, and strengthening collaboration to support laboratory leadership across Africa.

UNIPH fellows led a measles outbreak investigation in Amolatar District following UVRI confirmation. Conducted active case search, record reviews, and immunisation assessments with district teams and VHTs to strengthen surveillance and outbreak response coordination.
