Trending Story: An effeminate 100L student suspected to be gay was beaten to death with a rod in Madonna University, Okija Anambra. “U think say u don escape, after Easter we go kll u.” Williams Fubara didn’t make it back alive after Easter. Before his passing he revealed names of the perpetrators, lamenting how they’ve continuous bullied and harassed him, particularly one Nelson; who is the Hall Rep who allegedly coordinates the assault on fem-boys. Apparently, Williams had reported to the school, but they dismissed it and instead, allegedly empowered the Hall Reps and Hostel Porters. Who eventually combined with some final year and freshers students to bully and harrass Williams and one other boy for suspected homosexuality, after they seized and combed his phone for gay-evidence and found nothing incriminating. They harassed him in January, February, March and the final one in April. “I reported to Father Seratus, they didn’t do anything. Now Nelson is denying he didn’t beat me. I’m scared but I don’t want to show it.” — Williams told a friend in February. PS: Madonna is a Catholic school. Before the Easter break, again, they beat him so bad he was bleeding from his mouth and nostrils. Williams choose to remain strong. The school clinic certified him fine, he still told them Nelson did it to him. “Omo it is over.” — Willams told a friend. As he got home for the holidays the situation worsened, yet they kept threatening him. He started having seizures, turned out he suffered severe internal bleeding from the recent beating which wasn’t detected for weeks. Unfortunately, he didn’t survive, he passed away on Thursday. While the school is yet to address the situation, some of the perpetrators have admitted their role in the bullying, with the caveat that he was already sick and that their actions did not cause his death. Meanwhile his friends insist they have full testimonies and evidence directly from Williams before his passing. Last year 2025, the same suspects Nelson and gang, allegedly went around school searching phones of suspected gay students. If they refused to comply, they were beaten. One time they found a fem-boy community group in one’s phone, traced the other students involved; paraded, humiliated and got some suspended. 10 months later, the same group are now strongly linked to a student’s death. Meanwhile, close colleagues say Willams only has a feminine charisma, but doesn’t involve in homosexuality because he’s still figuring out his sexuality. But because he cooks for friends in the hostel, the gay-police declared him guilty. She wants it everyday but R wants it twice in a week. -In 2019, Roby’s uncle gave him $2k dollars when he heard Mayowa was traveling and he gave her everything. -M stayed in the US for 6 years and he never received $1 from her. He kept sending her money from Nigeria and even sends money to his friends to buy her flowers. -She did a contract marriage over there to get a green card which makes it her fifth marriage. She asked him to delete all their pictures together on IG. She also changed her name from Mayowa Ekpo. -After she got her green card in 2021, she came to Nigeria. They couldn’t stay in the house because there was no constant electricity. She went back after a month and since 2021 he didn’t see her again. -She said she was pregnant for R when she came to Nigeria in 2021 but she had a miscarriage. -He did a sperm count test thrice just to let her know he wasn’t the problem, but he found out she was taking contraceptives while they were actively trying for a baby. -She wanted them to adopt but they can’t because the child can’t travel abroad with them. -In 2025, Roby sent money for her ticket to come back to Nigeria. He went to the airport with his friends to pick her up with 2 cars but M didn’t hug or kiss him. -He slept in the living room for 2 days because she said she was jet lagged. He went to Asaba for an event and before he got back she was gone. -She bought a house in the US and he didn’t know. She also got a male flatmate and it turns out she and the guy were intimate. -When he got a tattoo she was so angry but now she has a full back tattoo. She went to Miami for a supposed surgery that would make her conceive but it turns out to be a bbl. -Jan 2024, he wished her a happy new year and she said she is tired of everything. He also sent her one million naira that year and she replied with “oh thanks” -He was driving Timi Dakolo’s car until he stopped sending her money and he saved up to buy his own car last year. -On her birthday last year, he made lots of plans but she didn’t like any of it. She was smoking shisha that night but she told him she doesn’t take alcohol. That’s same night she told him she is tired of the marriage because she’s not sexually attracted to him anymore. -4 months after, R saw that M was proposed to. She told his friend she already checked out of the marriage 3 years ago. -2025 was the last time he sent her money and it was a million naira. He would comment on her story on IG but she would ask him to delete it and come to WhatsApp. -June 2025, someone sent R a picture of M sitting on a man’s lap and it’s the same man she got married to now. -Although, they are separated but M is still married to R still date, but she got married to someone else last week. -May 2025 was the last time R saw M. He invited her to dinner even though she kept saying she was done. She promised she was still going to file for him to come to the US even if they are not together anymore but she never did. - Last week, M’s wedding photos were out and R said he didn’t know she got married. M posted on her story that she has found peace and her heart has found a home in her new man. -They were married for 10 years and Mayowa spent 6 years in the US.
