@anothercohen Staying at a VRBO near Blue Ridge right now and they have one. Doesn’t work worth a damn. Control panel gets humidity in it and then doesn’t work.

@Shiwon_NZ_Ao @Airbnb_uk Have had dodgy experiences with Airbnb and vrbo. Even been threatened by owners for complaining and providing feedback. Customer service is non existent. Not worth the hassle IMHO especially in foreign country holiday.

Just another horror story from @Airbnb_uk for your records. Two weeks ago we arrived at our booked accommodation, accessed it using the security codes given, and when we entered, we found a very startled young female student, whose rented accommodation we’d just invaded. 1/2

@vrbo Worst “customer” service ever! Over an 11/2 call with no resolution. Unsafe property. Blatantly misrepresented and the manager (who claims no one is higher than him) is zero help. Rental protection guarantee is BS

Cancellation fees and policies are why I will never rent anything from VRBO. They vary but giive you little to no room if life takes a turn. All the ones in North Carolina I wanted to stay at had a 24 hour window to cancel a reservation or you lose all your money. Ridiculous. Even if your reservation is two months out.

@vrbo Don’t be annoyingly condescending with your verbiage of no, I don’t want cancellation service. I’m willing to leave lose my $1000 dollars. Also the misleading statement, 1 in 6 adults cancels their reservation. Perhaps you forgot include the part “in their entire life.”

@vrbo reported to CS that I caught scabies while staying at a property booked via vrbo, provided all necessary evidence and medical notes. CS have been dismissive throughout, owner of the property accepting no responsibility to the obvious health hazard at their property #vrbo

@vrbo I have been waiting over a month for a refund that I canceled within policy. Call staff is very nice, but ineffective. Your process has been grossly misrepresented. They keep telling me my refund is in process but every call I make they tell me there’s a glitch.
