Saying “DC was always my favorite brand” and “I liked the darker approach to these Gods” in the same sentence immediately exposes you as a tourist. DC is not an inherently dark franchise like many of you believe. This is why yall call every lighthearted DC movie a Marvel movie.

DC was always my favorite brand, I liked the darker approach to these Gods. It’s honestly just become a joke in front and behind the camera. Marvel is cooking up better content across the board and Matt Reeves is a god send for the Batman brand. James Gunn doesn’t know how to do this job at all.

Most of what you think Matt Reeves will do will the character will be an overly pretentious deconstruct of those books and character. He’ll just copy Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut and Silence of The Lambs without any real depth other than a prison and secret society.

@JamesPrescott77 That is the gold standard of a great superhero film: To be Rewatchable. I can't think of so many that I can only tolerate for one viewing (and they really miss the mark in a lot of areas) Superman is not one of those. Superman is an EXCELLENT start to the DCU

Rewatching #Superman tonight, this movie gets better with every viewing. The best Superman movie, most like the comic books & the most faithful to the original character. So good and eminently rewatchable. Don't doubt James Gunn.
