At today's #UNSC open debate on #food insecurity as a driver of conflict, Italy reiterated its commitment to addressing conflict-related food insecurity in Africa, as demonstrated by ✅€6.55 Mil contribution in partnership with the @WFP to support Eastern Sudan, ✅“Food for Gaza” initiative with 2 thousand tons of food, medical, and relief supplies to the Gaza Strip ✅🇮🇹 support to #Ukraine in mitigating the humanitarian impact of conflict on food security, with €9 Mil allocation to strengthen 🇺🇦sustainable agricultural development in the Odessa region. Italy, proud to host and support the Rome-based Agencies as global hubs for #FoodSecurity and nutrition, co-hosted with 🇪🇹 the UN #FoodSystems Summit Stocktake last July.
