Dubai Humanitarian

Amid growing regional instability, supply chains are under pressure. Routes are disrupted, costs are rising, and deliveries are taking longer. But operations have not stopped. From our global logistics hub in Dubai, the @IFRC continues to move critical relief items where they are needed most. We are adapting routes, coordinating across borders, and working around the clock to keep aid flowing. With the support of @DXBHumanitarian, we are maintaining stock, securing infrastructure, and ensuring continuity in an increasingly complex environment. The challenges are real. But so is our commitment: support must not stop.

.@WHO has dispatched 22 metric tonnes of life-saving medicines and trauma and emergency surgery supplies to #Beirut — enough to support treatment for 50,000 patients, including 40,000 surgical interventions. This is the first land convoy dispatched through a multi-country land bridge from WHO's Global Logistics Hub in Dubai, which has established a new route to keep supplies moving amid growing logistics disruptions across the Middle East region. The convoy is expected to reach Beirut within a week. Lebanon's #health system is facing mounting pressure from rising needs, mass displacement, and critical shortages of medicines, supplies and fuel. Health workers continue to operate under difficult conditions, with access to care increasingly limited for the most vulnerable. More WHO shipments are ready and will be dispatched soon to support the response in Lebanon. WHO thanks the Government of the UAE for over a decade of partnership supporting the Global Logistics Hub, which keeps humanitarian supplies moving to more than 150 countries worldwide. WHO calls for the protection of healthcare and urges all parties to choose the life-saving path to peace.

22 metric tonnes of life-saving medicines and emergency surgery supplies are now en route to #Lebanon by land convoy from @WHO’s Global Logistics Hub in #Dubai. The supplies—which arrive next week—will support Lebanon’s capacity to respond to rising health needs, including burn management, trauma stabilization, surgical interventions, hemorrhage control, anaesthesia and anaphylaxis management. Today’s shipment was made possible through the continued support of @DXBHumanitarian and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. Thanks to UAE’s leadership, WHO’s Global Logistics Hub—the backbone of our emergency supply chain—continues to deliver vital health supplies even as the crisis disrupts logistics across the Middle East and beyond. I am immensely proud of WHO’s logistics teams, working under extremely difficult conditions to overcome challenges and find every possible way to get health supplies to people in need. WHO calls on all parties to protect civilians and health care, ensure unimpeded humanitarian access, and take urgent steps to de-escalate. As part of the IMPACCT Group, Dubai Humanitarian is joining the session “Fast Track Aid: Rethinking Humanitarian–Customs Cooperation for 2030” at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week 2026, held in Geneva. Giuseppe Saba, CEO of Dubai Humanitarian, will participate online, highlighting how to strengthen coordination between humanitarian actors and customs authorities to accelerate relief delivery and support a global safety net. In partnership with United Nations agencies, including the World Health Organization, and other international partners, it is committed to assisting communities in need across the globe.

We were pleased to welcome H.E. Luis Miguel Merlano Hoyos, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the UAE, to Dubai Humanitarian, where he met with Giuseppe Saba, CEO of Dubai Humanitarian. During the visit, the Ambassador explored Dubai Humanitarian’s model and role. The discussions also tackled avenues for humanitarian cooperation and potential areas of collaboration with the Dubai Humanitarian community, particularly in light of the recent flooding that has affected several regions of Colombia.
