Last year, searches for ‘buy a puppy’ increased by 44% in the week before Christmas & searches to give up a dog peaked just a few weeks later in January.

@BBCCountryfile@AdamHenson Absolutely loved these episodes. Emotional, informative and filmed beautifully. Capturing how lucky we are to have such an amazing Queen who is an inspiration to us all #longlivetheQueen
Finally @BBCCountryfile you have aired an episode I have enjoyed. It was informative and non biased. Nice to see your better presenters cover topics in a true light 👍
@HelenSkelton May I ask (and hopefully receive a reply)... the hat was stated as being sourced from China... so for that reason I ask: was the fur strand under the microscope definitely fox or could it have been dog?
@HeyLittleJude@Bumpydogo@BBCCountryfile She chose to refer to it as a luxury item in her feature... it is not luxury. Comments like here is why people buy fur trims and don't question how it could possibly be cheap without cruelty. The picture they painted tonight is not the true picture behind fur on the highstreet
@ENourishment@BBCCountryfile I do respect your point. I'm extremely angry at countryfile. I believe this feature will encourage people to buy fur trims online ect as she's portrayed it to be a luxury item and obtained from environments where animals have toys... not the true story at all 😢
@BeckysBoudoir@BBCCountryfile I'm so disappointed they chose to show this side of the industry. Fur trims on pom pom and shoes is obtained from animals skinned alive or bludgeoned to death. This is the real story! 😢
@ENourishment@BBCCountryfile It's about the process... the cheap fur that's being used on trims is obtained in barbaric ways. I shoot and eat meat however I do not support animal suffering. Skinning animals alive and bludgeoning dogs for pom poms is disgusting
