@wholemars FLAC is part of it, but using USB is the reason as there's no compression, it bypasses the phone's DAC (or worse garbage Bluetooth) giving you less links in the chain to process the data directly from source. Mp3 would probably sound much better than expected with USB as well.

fuuuuck I tried playing lossless FLAC audio files on my Tesla and I feel like I could notice a difference now I might be stuck pulling that USB drive in and out to keep audio files on there 😭 is there an SSD drive that you can connect to over wifi or something

@Gordan13Jura I can’t imagine a streaming service is going to be as good as a file on a hard drive. I know they have a download option

@wholemars Sure, currently 13 in Austin? 3-4 more in Dallas and Houston? I have using the FSD from V10.2 till V14.2 It has been making so much progress, but what’s stopping them from adding more? Like 50 or 100 ?

@wholemars Today is not only Tesla's earnings call, it's also the 7 year anniversary of Tesla Autonomy Day 2019. Elon, very confidently, claimed they'd have 1 million robotaxis by 2020 and if you need a geofence area, you don't have real self-driving.

My 12 year old VW has had exactly 0 updates and new features since I purchased it new. Meanwhile Tesla is over here updating 2014 models like it’s just a normal thing. This is the future! 🙌
