@agirlopinions I'm waaaay too distractible to keep count, but I love to crochet. I wing everything. No patterns, just chaos. I've made everything from stuffies to a sweater. Just think about it like a really slow 3D printer, adding or taking away some each row to get the shape you want.

@AuthorGoodwin I was devastated to learn my middle school through high school teacher died of cancer. She was amazing, and the reason I think about books how I do & have a good grasp of grammar. All her lessons were discussions, not lectures. I had planned to send her my books.

@prairie_posie Once I couldn't figure out why none of my baked goods were working, recipes I'd used all my adult life. Turned out I'd borrowed my mother's (back when we lived nextdoor before the disowning), and it had expired like a decade before. It has simply stopped being baking soda.

Animorphs is just a straight up better series than HP. Better worldbuilding, characters, themes, execution, and even names. Also, significantly less bigotry.

@Magnolia_613 If your immune system runs like a fifty year old totaled car made out of rust, either by genetics (hello) or covid damage, I assume, colds can be terrible for weeks. I was sick constantly as a kid & later as an adult living with a school age kid. But like. Not in healthy people.

The morality of killing a host to get to the yeerk. Wonderfully complex story that had me rethinking at every turn.

@JenLRossman This is my favorite version too. And 1 of the best scenes. The laughter after the 'evil became we're rich' line (I think, it's been a while) is just gold. Evergreen gold. I also love how much it focuses on Clark over Superman, where the reporter is real & Superman is the persona.

@WindheartCogs @Ranting_Trans There's a scene in the first megamorphs book where the kids steal a car and it's genuine comedic gold. It's rare for kids books to make me laugh as an adult but that had me howling.

@xsuzi00 @peamilkstan Nearly all my clothes are thrifted, for I am perpetually broke. Hitting one of those high quality, your personal style finds is such a windfall. I'm shaped like a potato so it's challenging, but I did hit some nice sweaters my last clothes quest.

@laurenancona Gain detergent specifically should be illegal. I can smell who uses Gain laundry detergent outside from 10 yards away while wearing a high quality respirator, and it's STILL overwhelming. How do people wearing those clothes not simply die of smell?
