I haven't drawn anything worth showing in a very long time but I'm proud of this one so far. My burnout is healing, slowly but surely. I'm gonna color it soon but I also like the inking by itself (color is diluted ink splotches I made before inking)

I'm gonna prove something. I have a Google Doc of every single Pokémon, from 1-1025. COMMENT YOUR FAVORITE and I'll add your name until we've found someone who likes every single one!

@Boris72947177 @normal_regimiro Oh come the fuck on, you’re obviously depressed about things that are in your control “the largest most studied phenomenon in mental health isn’t real” Just say you’re anti-science and have given up already A lot of us have been where you are brother, depression is insidious
Porterhouse Polytechnic@Boris72947177

@ChristianityOn This will also do absolutely nothing to actually make us more content with being incels. I'm depressed because no woman will ever fuck me willingly, paying someone to do so defeats the point.

i hate living with housemates because you always end up with these antisocial freaks that silently resent you for stuff like Using The Kitchen because you eat actual food instead of a frozen pizza every night forever

@Stormandreas_ @ShadowFoxArche I don’t think many people are buying a whole console just for one game, unless they’re rich or something. I think most people who bought a switch 2 “to play pokopia” were already considering buying one for a while, pokopia is just what pushed them over the edge

@ShadowFoxArche I think it more comes from a place of telling people not to get a Console for only one game. That's then essentially paying $500 for a singular game, which is insane. I know there are people doing that specifically for Wind/Waves. It's just mental to spend that much for one game

Not really understanding the meltdowns about this rn, but Switch 2 and games doing Animal Crossing numbers was always going to happen. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t just COVID- it was a well designed game for the mass market. That’s it.

@PinClock @Krananas_ @AscendentBolt @Paco_Scarso I think the issue here is the classic nuzlocke is a fundamentally different experience from what hardcore players are going for. You’re basically criticizing a game for not being like a game from a different genre. It’s just a different way to play with similar rules, who cares??

@Krananas_ @AscendentBolt @Xiggless @Paco_Scarso The time is part of the point. Using “I have a life!” isn’t a reason for nullifying a challenge run that you aren’t needed to do to live. That is the punishment for failure in a Nuzlocke and what makes one play carefully or get nerves. Hope this helps.

@AscendentBolt @PinClock @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso Afik for most hardcore nuzlocke players the rule is you can’t level up past the ace of the next boss trainer. It’s not like people are leveling their team to 100 on route 1, if a Pokémon exceeds the level cap you’re not allowed to use it in battle until the next cap

@PinClock @AscendentBolt @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso I agree for myself, I do prefer paying a longer run with that time investment and risk. Some people don’t and prefer to minmax and focus on the tougher battles. It ultimately doesn’t matter to me as long as people are having fun lmao

@AscendentBolt @PinClock @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso The way people who use rare candies play is similar to playing a roguelike. The challenge is about using the tools you happen to be given to overcome a challenge, and when you play a roguelike you don’t want each run to take forever due to grinding, you want to jump back in asap

@AscendentBolt @PinClock @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso Using rare candies to skip level grinding isn’t optimizing the challenge out, the only purpose of it is to cut grinding time. I personally haven’t done it because I don’t mind grinding but I totally understand why people who do nuzlockes frequently would want to

@Xiggless @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso Nowhere have I told someone how to play. I am only saying what they are doing is by definition cheating and not a challenge run.

@PinClock @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso Like we’re not talking about changing the rules of chess here lmao the whole point of a nuzlocke is creating your own rules to make a game harder/more fun. It shouldn’t be shocking that other communities have come up with their own preferred way of doing things

@PinClock @Krananas_ @Paco_Scarso I think you’re fighting a losing battle when you’re trying to impose strict rules on how someone else should be able to enjoy something when the thing we’re talking about is literally a fandom-created set of self-imposed rules in a children’s game

@TomCafeConLeche @2014Pachirisu Yes some people prefer engaging with nuzlockes that way. They treat it more like a roguelike where you have to strategize around the tools you’re given, and there’s a reason most roguelikes don’t require long grinds for each and every run

“How dare you have fun playing a challenge mode” He literally calls out people like you specifically. I’m not watching a guy grind for hours on end. I could watch something else more engaging and interesting instead. I’ve done a couple nuzlockes. Rare candies are goated.

@Gatrsmol It will never not be odd to me how many Pokémon fans are committed to the idea that the developers and designers do not put any thought into the monster designs beyond looking cool. Like why do you want to believe the artists behind this thing you love just don’t care

People got so freaking mad at the X and Y shaped Megas guy that now we can't analyze Pokemon designs beyond surface level, a Lockstin & Noggin video would leave these people bedridden

@PokeBronYT Many of their arguments are about the lack of “commitment” in being able to just pick out another mon when one dies and bump them up to the level cap. They seem very focused on the emotional investment aspect of nuzlockes when people who use candies aren’t playing for that reason

I'm gonna take the bait My bad gang, you can go and enjoy spending 400 hours extra in your nuzlocke while we enjoy our puzzle solving and tough fights in a new Rom hack that has far more enjoyment while you'll still be grinding for in six months for tori and tia

@buck_pucke64231 @poppylikecats @Ivorypkmn I can totally understand why people who nuzlocke frequently would want to cut the fat. The challenge is ultimately about beating the game through skill with limited resources, whether or not you suffered through a mindless grind to get there is ultimately irrelevant

@buck_pucke64231 @poppylikecats @Ivorypkmn You still have 40 mons in the box regardless of whether you have rare candies or not, the only difference is whether you take the time to grind them up or just use the candies to save time. Doesn’t really matter as long as whoever’s playing is having fun
