@justcausality @madcap412 For the record, I think it’s completely fine to have unattractive characters, especially in a setting like The Last of Us. What people are pointing out, though, is a noticeable pattern where not only new characters but also existing ones being altered.

@TheGameVerse I liked the game other than the story. It just felt so contrived and you can tell they try so hard to make you like Abby who I found to be pretty insufferable. I will say though, the show really made me appreciate the game a lot more. Such an insane miss

TLOU2 came out 6 years ago today. It’s still one of the most hated and debated games ever made, but it completely changed my perspective on storytelling. From Joel’s death, to playing as Abby, to Ellie finally breaking the cycle of revenge, the game took risks that most developers would never attempt. One of the best game of the decade.
