I was in a children’s home in East London when I was a teenager. I was groomed, abused, and even kidnapped by Muslim men because I was a white Christian girl. 16, scared, alone and confused—the abuse will stop when I become one of them, i’d hoped. I was wrong. It justified it, sanctified it, and made the abuse feel righteous in their eyes. I felt trapped. But God alone gave me the strength to endure it for almost two decades. And then, the courage to escape. Last night, every desperate prayer I made in those dark days was answered. Last night I received baptism. Last night, God finally brought me home. ✝️

Teenager Sexually Assaulted In Slough. An 18 year old woman was sexually assaulted in the middle of Slough's High Street. The incident took place at 7pm on Friday, February 13, when the teenager was walking alone along the busy town centre. Thames Valley Police say the man approached her without warning and touched her inappropriately in what officers have described as a sexual assault. The victim, managed to get away from her attacker but was left deeply distressed by the ordeal. Now, nearly two months later, detectives have released an e-fit image of the suspect in an attempt to trace him. The man is described as Asian, in his late 20s or early 30s, with short black hair, stubble and a small, skinny face. He was wearing a black puffer jacket at the time of the attack. Police have urged anyone who recognises the e-fit, or who was in the area that evening and saw something suspicious to come forward immediately. Investigating officer PC Nikolaos Spathis: "We are releasing an e-fit depicting a man we are looking to trace in connection with this incident. This was a distressing incident for the victim, who was simply going about her day in a public place. We are appealing for anyone with information to contact us". I was all set to cook a big Easter meal, but at the last minute we decided to head out to our local, The Gas Lamp, for a lovely Sunday roast instead. Spent some quality time with my youngest son and his girlfriend, then went on to see my other son and my grandson — a perfect way to spend the day.
