Temporary...

The Supreme Court just gave Trump a green light to deport people who followed every rule.
TPS holders registered with the government. Passed background checks. Worked legally. Paid taxes. Raised their families here and contributed to their communities.
Congress must immediately act to pass the American Dream and Promise Act and give eligible TPS holders permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship.

@JBPritzker @realDonaldTrump JB, Why are you so afraid of giving the federal government the list of voters in your state? Are most of them dead? Are they illegal? Are they people who moved out of your state?
WHY?
English

Trump’s USPS is threatening to withhold mail ballots unless states turn over voter rolls.
We’re going to fight like hell to protect your right to vote.
See you in court, @realDonaldTrump.

@RYboating I am currently designing the Bacon greese gun for morons like this.

@Dave_Schoenfeld @MahikRani50377 Thanks for the catch. Sometimes I type faster than I do math.

My husband and I went out for dinner last night, and something happened that honestly left me confused.
Our bill came to $70, and we left $20 on the table as a tip. In my mind, that felt reasonable. It was not meant to be disrespectful, and we were not trying to make any kind of statement. We simply paid the bill and left what we thought was a fair tip.
But the waiter refused to take it and told us that if we were not willing to tip at least $35, then we should not be dining out.
I was surprised, because $20 on a $70 bill is still a real amount of money. Maybe it is not what some people expect now, but it also does not feel like nothing.
I understand that servers work hard. I know tips matter, and I respect the people who do that job. But I also think moments like this show how tense tipping culture has become.
What used to feel like a thank-you now sometimes feels like a demand. Customers feel pressured, servers feel underpaid, and everyone ends up frustrated with each other instead of questioning the system that created the problem.
So I am genuinely asking: was $20 on a $70 bill really that bad, or have tipping expectations gotten out of hand..., 🤔🤔🤔?

@veteran_texas @OccupyDemocrats Find the part of the constitution that says the federal government can't require people prove they are American Citizens for federal elections.

@Zaphoid13 @OccupyDemocrats Our Constitution is above a President and Congress regardless of political parties. Federal fraud is documented as .00006%.

BREAKING: HELL YES! A federal judge PERMANENTLY BARRS Trump from implementing the lion's share of his voter suppression executive order — scoring a massive win for our democracy.
This has MAGA scrambling in panic...
U.S. District Court Judge Denise Casper has ruled that the White House cannot force people to show documentary proof of citizenship when they register to vote.
As anyone who has taken even a cursory look at this issue understands, this was never really about making sure that only citizens vote. Study after study after study has found zero evidence for mass voters fraud. The only people who vote in this country are citizens.
Trump's order is about throwing up one more hurtle in front of the ballot box. Republicans want to turn away voters who can't easily obtain IDs or who forget their IDs at home. They're also working to shut down offices where people can obtain such IDs.
So the plan is: require IDS, then make it harder to get them.
They're doing this because Republicans know how radioactive their political platform has become. All they have to offer is inane culture war screeching while Americans are clamoring for solutions to the rising cost of living, unaffordable healthcare, and an end to pointless foreign wars.
The Executive Order would have also absurdly prevented mail-in ballots from being counted if they arrive after Election Day, regardless of their postmarked date.
Judge Casper stated that the Constitution gives states the power to regulate elections, not the federal government and it "does not grant the President any specific powers over elections."
“Generations of Americans fought tirelessly for the right to vote, and we honor their legacy by protecting that right against anyone who tries to undermine it,” said New York Attorney General Letitia, celebrating the fact that the judge stopped an “unconstitutional attempt to seize control of our elections."
This is a huge cause for celebration and an important reminder that Republicans would rather steal elections than actually win votes because their loyalty will always belong first and foremost to powerful corporations and the Epstein Class.
Please ❤️ and share to thank the judge!

English

No. I am saying one judge is not the President, and if both Republicans and Democrats would actually do thier job and make sure that only citizens could vote there would be no need for an executive order to attemp that is done. The order will force a debate show the people who cheat, ( all of those that do not want proof of citizenship) and show who in congress who does not listen to those who elected them.
English

@Zaphoid13 @OccupyDemocrats So Jim Fuentes, you’re saying burn the Constitution to please Trump?
English

@KamleeL69265 So if a server covers 5 tables, people stay say 1 hr the average table is $100.00 then the server would make $40.00 per table which is $200.00 per hr pluse thier hourly wage?
English

@Zaphoid13 @gtconway3d But with this bill not all Americans could vote. It's trying to eliminate the female vote.
English

Of course he did. Doesn't matter that the bill is bipartisan.
He doesn't give a shit about Americans; he only cares about staying out of jail.
And if that requires stealing an election or two and destroying American democracy, that's exactly what he's going to try to do.

BREAKING NEWS: PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP has canceled the signing of the housing bill until Congress passes the SAVE America Act. The stage is set in the Capitol. House GOP leadership is literally on stage right now touting the bill.
English

@RepJeffries You mean like get rid of 20 million illegal aliens that take up housing that American citizens could live in?
