🚨JUST IN: Pep Guardiola reveals what Mikel Arteta did after Arsenal’s Carabao Cup defeat, calls it ‘incredible’ Pep Guardiola got the better of Mikel Arteta as Manchester City beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final. After losing 2-0 to Manchester City, Arsenal had to walk up the Wembley stairs first to collect their Carabao Cup runners-up medals. Once they came down, Pep Guardiola led his side up the stairs to collect their medals and, of course, the Carabao Cup. Manchester City celebrated winning the cup for the fifth time in the last 10 years on the balcony and then came down to do the same on the pitch. Mikel Arteta, his coaching staff, and the Arsenal players could’ve just gone back in as soon as they got their medals, but they stayed until City lifted the cup and came down. The Manchester City boss noticed that, and he hailed and thanked Arteta for the gesture. He told CBS Sports: “It’s against which team we won. This is the strongest one in Europe right now. Look at the Champions League and Premier League. To beat them in many aspects, it looks so difficult. “They have proven it for many years, especially this season. Of course, Carabao Cup, five in 10 years, we’re happy, but especially against them (Arsenal). “I have a huge respect. I want to say thank you because they waited, all the team, until we were down. That was an incredible gesture on the part of Mikel and their people.” Via [@afcnewsroom]

🚨 Mikel Obi gives his honest take on what it’s like facing Messi and Ronaldo 💀🐐🔥 "When we played against Manchester United when Cristiano was there we knew Ash (Ashley Cole) would deal with him. He is capable of dealing with him. But every time it was against Barcelona, oh my god, training the whole week was about Messi. We have to have two-three players with him, you can’t defend one-v-one against him. It’s impossible. You’re dead. And the way they play, the way they move the ball around with the sole purpose of getting the ball to him... I just think Messi is from a different planet. I just think he is that good. The game plan was just to kick him because we can’t get the ball off him or get close enough. JT is tackling, Frank is tackling, I’m tackling, everybody’s putting in tackles. That’s the only way we could stop him."

Deco on Portugal needing the Manchester United version of Bruno Fernandes against Uzbekistan: 🗣️ “When people talk about Portugal's biggest weapons, they immediately think about the goalscorers, the wingers, the big names. But for me, the player who can completely change this match against Uzbekistan is Bruno Fernandes.” “What Bruno did for Manchester United last season was extraordinary. Week after week, when the team needed leadership, creativity, energy, or a decisive moment, he was the one stepping forward. He carried responsibility without hiding from it, even when the pressure was at its highest.” “Portugal need that exact version today. Not the Bruno who simply plays well, but the Bruno who takes control of an entire match. The Bruno who demands the ball every few seconds, who refuses to let the tempo drop, and who makes everyone around him believe something special is about to happen.” “The dangerous thing about Bruno is that he doesn't need to score to dominate a game. One pass can split an entire defence apart. One piece of vision can create a goal nobody else on the pitch even imagined. That is a gift very few players in world football possess.” “Against Uzbekistan, there will be moments where patience is required. There will be moments where spaces are small and opportunities are limited. Those are exactly the situations where Bruno becomes priceless because he sees solutions before anyone else can.” “I watched him for Manchester United and there were games where he looked determined to drag the team forward by himself. Running, creating, pressing, organizing, fighting for every second ball. That mentality is what Portugal need in a World Cup.” “The scary part is that when Bruno feels the responsibility of a nation on his shoulders, he usually becomes even more influential. Some players disappear under pressure. Bruno often grows stronger because of it.” “If Portugal get the Manchester United version of Bruno Fernandes tonight, Uzbekistan will have a very long evening. Because when Bruno starts controlling the rhythm, creating chances, and playing with confidence, he doesn't just help Portugal win matches... he helps them look like genuine World Cup contenders.”

🚨NEW: Fabrizio Romano shares the latest on Arsenal’s interest in Kenan Yıldız. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano said: 🗣️🎙️“Many of you are asking us about the ongoing rumors from England regarding Kenan Yildiz and Arsenal, because some of the most important newspapers in England, including The Athletic, have continued to link Kenan Yildiz to Arsenal in recent days,” the Italian journalist explained. “Arsenal would really like Kenan Yildiz, there’s no doubt about that,  who wouldn’t want to buy a player of Kenan Yildiz’s calibre? “But Juventus is starting again after a season that ended painfully, For Juve, he’s a key player; for Juve, he’s a player they can build on for next season and for the future. “Juve has already done its important work on Kenan Yildiz, renewing his contract, improving his salary, so Juve has moved well in advance and today we must leave the discussion about Arsenal, this is one to put under the heading of ‘Arsenal’s dreams’, not under the heading of ‘reality’.” [fabrizioromano] [afcnewsroom] impossible, who should Arsenal target instead? 👀🔴⚪️

🚨📰 Elliot Anderson admits he’s a huge fan of one Arsenal star and loves watching him play. Speaking on ITV Sport’s YouTube channel, Anderson said: 🗣️🎙️“Just watching Dec all season playing in an England shirt,” the Nottingham Forest star stated. “Yeah, although I’m playing alongside him and we’ve got slightly different roles, I just think I love him as a player and I like to watch him and and take things from his game and he’s been unbelievable this season for Arsenal.” Perhaps a serious offer from Arsenal could persuade Anderson to favour a move to North London over Manchester City. [afcnewsroom] Gooners, would you like Arsenal to make a move for Elliot Anderson? 👀🔴⚪️

🚨 Berta Speaks on Arsenal’s Ruthless New Transfer Strategy. 🗣️Berta "Arsenal and Arteta’s new strategy in this seasons transfer might hurt your feelings, but will absolutely win us trophies. 🔹️ For years, Arsenal held onto players for too long, allowing their market value to decline, losing stars for free, or carrying expensive contracts that no longer offered value. That approach is becoming a thing of the past. 🔹️ The biggest clubs in world football have mastered the art of selling at the right time. Real Madrid moved on from Casemiro and Raphaël Varane when their value was at its peak. Manchester City did the same with Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Julián Álvarez. Liverpool have also shown a willingness to make tough decisions when the timing is right. 🔹️ This signals a major change in mentality. Rather than clinging to every key player, Arsenal are beginning to operate like an elite club that trusts its recruitment network and believes replacements can be found before decline sets in. 🔹️ Being open to significant offers for players at the height of their value helps prevent stagnation, refreshes the squad, and creates room for the next generation of stars. It may seem ruthless, but it is often the price of building a team capable of competing at the highest level year after year. Arsenal's ambition is clear: think long-term, act decisively, and operate like Europe's elite. 🤔 If a huge offer arrived this summer, which Arsenal player would you be willing to cash in on while their value is at its highest? #AFC #Arsenal #COYG
