I went to my first CL in Fukuoka - played the same day 1 60 as Rahul but ended at 4-3. Sad about the performance but everyone was so nice and I'm excited for the next one! はじめてCLで出たけど4-3で負けました。 みんな優しくて次のCL楽しみにしています!

Ended Sacramento at 3-1-4 with LZ Pika - played well but just hit too many decks that had Klefki, Flutter Mane or (non-Drago) Kyurem and did the best I could given that. Two students and many of my friends out placed me though and are moving on to Day2 so cheering them on :)

@Pooka311 I'm a foodie so definitely would pick out a restaurant in advance depending on what I'm craving! sushi (omakase or conveyor belt sushi), onigiri udon/tsukemen, ramen, yakiniku, yakitori, tempura, gyukatsu, tonkatsu, katsudon, omurice, curry, okonomiyaki, unagi - so many options

@LSXYZ9 @CasterCarix limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/129… (Trainer (spell) lock) limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/129… (Combo) x.com/Alloutblitzle/… (Control) are your best bets Pokémon is no interaction but the draw power/tutor in the game scratches an itch and makes me think in a way that no other game has

Some korean pro tcg friends are trying to convince me to start Pokémon (only card game I've never played) cause of how alive/healthy it is in Korea. If I really like true control/control in MTG what deck am I looking at getting? Combo is okay too. Also buying boxes is dumb I know but ritual for starting a card game, so which boxes do I buy lol

There’s a control deck oriented around pidgeot EX right now that’s pretty solid into the meta game with a ton of one ofs that can factor into different matchups. But it’s not true control/lock. There’s a few really really cool combo decks that exist right now in the game like Terapagos EX! I think a fun box to buy is Twilight Masquerade Also welcome in! Any questions you have I’m more than happy to help out 🙏

Gentleman's Agreements Should you be making them in situations where you trust your opponent to honor it? Most of the time yes, it is mutually beneficial, even before these new changes, but way more so now, we want wins, not ties which are effectively losses other than not having to play Asymmetric top cut unless you accrue at least 3 of them. Is it fair to be concerned when playing against a stranger that they might back out? Of course, you don't know them, and people back out all the time. So if you want to make a gentleman's agreement, make one. If you don't, don't. But don't try to pressure your opponent into making one if they don't want to and don't back out of them, as both of these actions are basically cheating adjacent and should just be straight up cheating honestly by my interpretation of the rules. (The first is coercion, and the second is deception). I know that judges aren't allowed to enforce them but especially for prize card agreements, as it is clear who the winner of the agreement is on board most of the time, if you back out that in my opinion should be included under deceiving your opponent to try to gain an advantage, which is illegal. Pokemon needs to take action and either ban gentleman's agreements or, preferably, make them enforceable. I believe it was @__itVic who I saw suggest at some point something along the lines of match slips including a box on both sides that both players could sign to agree to have the game decided by single elimination rules to determine a winner in the event of a tie.

@jakekgearhart @azulgg @ZanderBennett You can extend that analogy to say that a person who is always playing against those in top 8 contention than someone who almost never was had to fight harder for their wins

@jakekgearhart @azulgg @ZanderBennett I don't feel strongly about either answer but to play devil's advocate: Someone who went 5-2-1 and then lost win and in to be 5-3-1 most likely had tougher opponents than someone who started 0-2-2 and then won out to be 5-2-2.

Hypothetical for Regionals or larger, who had the “better” tournament: -Player A who loses a Top 8 win and in and ends in Top 32 -Player B who wins their last round and makes Top 16 (no shot at top cut)

@EvanC2000 ptcglegends.com/major-events/2… My 2010 list is already kind of close to what I think the ideal build of that would be! You can cut Nidoqueen and Unown G to fit 1 Shuppet (1 is probably enough) and maybe Expert Belt and a Spiritomb/Unown Q/Cursegar package.

Desperately trying to find more information about the mad scientist who played Shuppet/Gengar/Luxray/Mewtwo to Missouri Regionals in 2010 and started off 5-1 after beating JWittz in round 6 I'm trying to cook a list and clearly do not see the vision

@sawyerhatemail For the rest of this game, your Pokémon’s attacks do 30 more damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). When your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 more Prize card. :)

Currently creating a cube with custom cards. Want to add a bunch of trainers that have give passive effects (effects that permanently effect the rest of the game when they are played) Have some examples here. Would love some more ideas to add. 👀
