Hello everyone 👋 I’m Emmy. I’m a Software Developer, Computer Science graduate, and startup builder. I build applications, AI agents, and scalable backend systems designed to handle real-world traffic and scale reliably under load. I’m also open to gigs, collaborations, and exciting opportunities. Beyond development, I enjoy educating and sharing knowledge. I regularly post technical threads breaking down complex engineering concepts, alongside non-technical content around tech, startups, growth, and things I believe developers should learn. If you’re seeing this, I’d love to connect with like-minded individuals: Developers, Engineers, Startup Builders, Entrepreneurs, AI enthusiasts, professionals, and prospective clients 🤝 Especially people building in the AI space. Looking forward to learning, connecting, and growing with you all. Nice meeting everyone 🚀

@_devEmmy Building carousels with state and event handling on day 5 is actually ahead of the curve, most people spend the first week copying components without understanding why the re-render fires. Keep the hands-on ratio high, tutorials will slow you down now.

Day 5 of learning Frontend (React + Tailwind). Spent today focusing purely on hands-on practice, applying everything I’ve learned so far in React. Built a cat carousel and a dog carousel using state, event handling, and conditional rendering to cycle through different data and dynamically update the UI. That wraps up this React fundamentals practice phase for now. Tomorrow I’ll shift into building and styling a landing page to strengthen my Tailwind layout skills even further. Next week, I’ll return to the full-stack eCommerce project I paused earlier, with a stronger foundation in React. The goal is to move away from tutorials and focus more on building real applications from scratch. 🚀

Day 4 of learning Frontend (React + Tailwind). Started early today around 3am and continued diving deeper into React fundamentals: state, conditional rendering, and event handling. I practiced click events and conditional UI updates by building small exercises like a counter and a light switch that renders different UI states based on whether the ON or OFF button is clicked. To wrap up this foundational phase, I’ll spend tomorrow building an image carousel, a cat carousel, and a landing page for more hands-on practice. Starting next week, I’ll return to the full-stack eCommerce project I paused so I could revisit and strengthen my React fundamentals. I also have a list of other projects lined up as I work towards avoiding the tutorial loop and learning by building.
