@zachwaugh Yes I’ve had this happen for the last couple of major versions and I have no idea why. One launch it’s correct and then the next it’s broken. I’m using the new launch image configuration in Info.plist.

Anyone else seeing this iPad bug where it shows the wrong launch screen on iOS 16? Haven’t seen anyone else mention it, but still happening with iOS 16.2 for me on my iPad Pro 11”. It looks like it’s launching as a split view with the wrong size class or something

@DonnyWals Oh I see. Like when you set a breakpoint in the launch code path or something along those lines.

@_sjs I might not have the app running when setting the breakpoints for example…

"Run without building" has saved me so much time, it's ridiculous. Definitely my go-to option when I only added a couple of breakpoints and want to test something real quick in a big project that takes ages to compile/install (looking at you, watchOS).

@AdamWhitcroft In Ottawa it would actually be handled too. It’s even worse when it happens here.

It’s funny because we moved from Ottawa to Victoria to get away from weather like this.

@chriseidhof @rhysmorgan They could do it. Kotlin has serializable closures with some limitations of course. I don’t think they can be deserialized and invoked by any other process let alone another machine over the wire. With enough restrictions it seems possible though.

@rhysmorgan Yeah that's a big thing I think. You can't easily do that with closures (although if Apple wanted to, I'm pretty sure it would be possible, too).

Very cool. Once we have builtin predicates, maybe we could have builtin auto-layout syntax as well? `|-[find]-[findNext]-[findField(>=20)]-|`. Of course, Swift being Swift we should get rid of the square brackets, but otherwise it's fine? 🔥💯

I’d like a product that uses ChatGPT (and future variants, but its current form is good enough for this) to just respond endlessly to spammers. Engage them in conversation as long as possible. I’m sure both sides will weaponize this but at least consumers have this power too.

@AndyIbanezK @marcoarment @tapbot_paul ADN had a Twitter-compatible API and I believe that Tapbots were able to make that port with relatively little effort. If Mastodon lacks that API then it won’t be a cake-walk.

I get a new travel eSIM and what can I say this is pretty convenient. Of course, I kept the previous travel physical SIM that I can use with my backup phone. Am I too paranoid or is it normal human behavior?

@CastIrony @sdw Most of Apple’s fabric bands are washable and look fresh after a wash. After mountain biking I showered with my orange one and it came clean, but it wasn’t that dirty in the first place so ymmv.
