Trading frequency - a commentary from a five decade veteran I follow about 40 global futures markets I enter each year figuring that I might three good signals in a given market over the course of 12 months -- maybe four. That's it. For a given market there will only be three or four price bars that I will consider suitable for taking a risk position. If I trade a market more than five times in a year I consider that I over-traded -- that my nose was too close to the chart. Then it is time to be conscious about pulling back from daily charts and re-focusing on weekly charts. As a rule, if I cannot see a pattern on weekly chart then it is 80% certain there is no trade for me. That's it -- three or four price bars that are important. The rest are noise.

But my goal has been and continues to be to move 15% of my entire net worth into PM etfs and physicals. I issued a very bullish long-term analysis over the weekend to members of my private community. I bought some SIVR and SGOL overnight but in hindsight not nearly enough Sorry for the head fake, but there is not such a thing as 9-red birds. I was actually trying to feed the decline hoping to add to the rekt mkts I did NOT have orders in for futures but they reached a buying level I had wanted to buy. Holding futures orders in place at 4200 is just not something I would do The lows last night in PMs might become the absolutely lows going forward. Or not. But they are definitely at the lower zone of my buying range. This post represents how I really feel and am investing with my retirement accounts
