Monitoring of ALAN is done from ground and space with many pros and cons (coverage, precision, color sensitivity etc.) The review comes to the conclusion, that ground based systems are not ideal but the biggest gap exists in satellite technology for night-time earth observation

One person has been rescued, while 4 others died after a building being demolished collapsed in Fuata Nyayo, South B, Nairobi. It's still unclear how many are trapped. Rescue efforts are ongoing. It's very sad that the ongoing demolitions continue kill many people from the slums.

They came fully armed to poor residents who don't even have a proper place to sleep, with only one mission make them homeless, scatter their livelihoods and belongings. As a result lives have been lost. After surviving floods you die during an eviction process. @Anamidaudi

It's so unfortunate that the residents of mukuru Kwa Ruben and viwandani have been forcefully evicted from their homes by the government without an alternative. Three people have been killed by the state during the process. We demand the state to resettle the victims immediately.

The state has claimed the lives of three people today in mukuru evictions including a five year old Joseph ombata 😭😭😭

Joseph Ombata a five year old has lost his life in their house as the bulldozer was demolishing their house in the ongoing mukuru Kwa Ruben evictions. He was trying to rescue what he could since no one was at home.@WilliamsRuto should suspend the ongoing evictions to save lives.
