There’s a lesson in Figma’s IPO. Per friends, there was a time where Figma did not look like a clear winner. These things can take time. Meanwhile, I see a lot of funds rushing out of healthcare b/c of lack of exits, or b/c AI is hotter. There will be a lot of healthcare Figma’s in the next decade.

I love it when Series A investors go on about being the first investors, first believers, first supporters of founders. Reality is that they are more like the fifth supporters these days. Two recent podcasts I listened to with iconic VCs made me think about this.

@jefielding I think the way they respond to that feedback would be an important data point for me as to whether I’d want to work with the founder.

Horrible first pitch, potentially interesting company. Do you tell the founder, continue with the investment process as usual or simply pass? 🤔

People say sales cycles in #Healthcare are really long...& while they often can be, we forget that "healthcare" is not some inanimate object. When a decision maker has an emotional connection to ur mission, turns our sales cycles in healthcare are fast!

@dvasishtha 👆👆100%!! 👆👆 We’ve found that providing medicaid members with nutritious groceries in a convenient and stigma free way not only establishes trust and consistency… but most importantly puts us in a unique position to connect/engage members w/ the right healthcare services

So many companies in Medicaid value based care get patient engagement wrong. They tend to view it backwards where they have a predetermined care model to reduce MLR and then try to figure out how to engage patients with that team and approach.

@nikillinit i have experienced medicaid plan provider credentialing takes an additional 3 months

if you want to get in-network for a payer, there is a process to doing so this most of the time takes 3-4 months but you should account for 6 just in case (are health insurers known for their speed? they can't even get a bill to me before i need another bill) we go through the steps of this process in our how to contract with payers course starting in a few weeks

Nothing says spam or laziness more than the "my CEO thought I should reach out to you..." line.

Mark Cuban laid into pharmacy benefit managers at the White House today. Three PBMs, middlemen owned by giant healthcare firms like CVS and UnitedHealth, dominate how drugs are priced. And they’re price gouging essential drugs at the expense of patients in need. @mcuban
