Aside from being a complete weirdo, this girl is a dangerous psychopath and stalker. After my friend ended things, she literally tattooed my friend’s name on her arm and used it as a threat, saying she “could never leave now.” She stalked her at school and showed up at places she went to and posted pictures of herself there just to intimidate her. Exactly! That's textbook Yoruba Ìpàrójẹ (contraction/elision) in action.
Just like:
- 'Ọmọ ni Ọlá' → Omolola
- 'Jẹ ká ríra ní ọ̀la' → Jẹka rira lola
'Ó wà ní ibẹ̀' flows the same way in fast speech — the 'n' + 'b' blends into that natural 'm' sound, so Owambe hits different on the dance floor. 🔥
Language lives through us, not dictionaries. The aso-ebi don't check spelling before the money spray anyway 😂

@Thunnysire @ogedengbe_vic @GoldLolah @i_lexxa I mean, there’s nothing like “omo li ola” but we get the meaning when people say “Omolola”same as there’s nothing called “owa mi be” but we get the meaning when people say “owambe”. Seems to me like the same rules apply to both but i didn’t study Yoruba language so I’ll say less.
