@GoodwinMJ Is it surprising that people feel angry when so many social media posts are designed to create such anger? They are full of falsehoods and statements of what's wrong with very few suggestions as to how we can all live harmoneously together.

Britain is a tinderbox right now. You can literally feel it. People are a lot angrier, a lot more frustrated, a lot more disillusioned than Westminster thinks. Years of lying to --and gaslighting-- the British public about our borders and mass immigration have eroded public trust and undermined the social contract. And now Keir Starmer's farcical small boats "deal" is just going to make all this so much worse. As I explain below, this is not a serious plan for fixing our borders. It is an exchange programme for illegal migrants. It is an insult to the hardworking, law-abiding British majority. We don't want "one in, one out" We want "none in, all out" If you break our laws, you should never be allowed to remain in the country. It really s that simple We want an end to broken borders We want an end to mass uncontrolled immigration We want an end to British families being forced to pay billions each year for an immigration crisis our elected politicians refuse to fix And we want all of that. @alexarmstrong This is surely a plus given that the UK has largely given up teaching foreign languages. When these pupils finish their education, they will be able to conduct business in foreign countries and benefit the UK.

@CharlieM_OBE If it was up to me, anyone claiming benefits and out of work should have to do jobs in their local community in return for the benefits, like tidying streets & if physically unable, then there are other ways they can help.

Maybe we should just send lazy people to work

It shouldn’t take a visit to an asylum hotel by me as Shadow Home Secretary to shame the Government into action. Illegal working by asylum seekers - most of whom also entered the country illegally - is happening from the very hotels Yvette Cooper is using our money to run. The Government could easily stop it. I saw Deliveroo and other bikes parked in the hotel’s own compound - yet all the security guard cared about was me filming. The delivery company’s claims to be policing this are laughable. They are making money from illegal immigrants working on their platforms and are taking no meaningful steps to stop it. The Government should fine and prosecute them. This is a very serious issue because illegal working is a pull factor for illegal immigration into the UK - people smugglers actually advertise it. And it endangers women and girls as deliveries are made to their homes by unidentified recent illegal immigrants, often from nationalities we know have very high rates of sex offending.
