Dear New Yorkers who have never seen dumpsters. Let me explain what this will do. 1. They will stink. They will get all kinds of gross liquid in them and they will stink. 24/7. Wait for the summer. That’s gonna be so charming. 2. Trash will pile up over and around them. Bc it ALWAYS does. 3. Parking way up. $$$$. I know you don’t think you care but it will cost someone more money which will be passed onto you. 4. These could easily bc homeless shelters. The trash will then be tossed on the streets. 5. Rats will find a way. It will smell like food to them at all times. It will attract them. 6. It’s going to cost a bunch of money. 7. It will be UGLY. They will be covered with all kinds of gross garbage materials. Hence the stinking mentioned earlier. The beautiful streets will be packed with these. Imagine a 100 story building. How big of a dumpster do they need? 8. Will they be moved every other day like cars? How will the street sweepers get around them? 9. And other stuff I haven’t even thought of yet.

@ColbyMannionNJ Bruh, there’s no way that this won’t bring in more in taxation than it causes NJ to spend. Not only was the sales tax already raised but now with the hefty train tickets. Smart leadership finds a win win, but clearly we had very bad leadership and still do.

So weird how the Media/Swamp class, who’ve been wrong for generations on geopolitics, keep getting outsmarted by a guy they dump all day as their intellectual inferior. And next they’ll claim it’s all “luck.” It’s not. Regardless, I’d rather side with someone “lucky,” who wins, rather than zeroes who are unlucky, and lose.

New Jersey is ready and excited to host eight FIFA World Cup matches this summer – including the World Cup Final. Since I took office, my Administration has been working to prepare for the biggest sporting event our state has ever seen – and today, NJ TRANSIT released their Mobility Plan to move 40,000 fans to and from each match safely and efficiently. In the FIFA World Cup agreement that my Administration inherited, FIFA put zero dollars towards transporting World Cup fans. It also eliminated parking at MetLife Stadium, putting the burden of transporting four times more matchday riders than typical for an event at the stadium on NJ TRANSIT. This agreement will cost NJ TRANSIT at least $48 million, while FIFA is positioned to make $11 billion during the World Cup. As I have said repeatedly, FIFA should cover the cost of transporting its fans. If it won’t, we will not be subsidizing World Cup ticket holders on the backs of New Jerseyans who rely on NJ TRANSIT every day.

Every dollar NJ collects should be pointed directly at the things we deal with every single day: what it costs to see a doctor, keeping your kid safe while you're at work, unlimited energy to keep the lights on, acessible homeownership... we don't have to build aircraft carriers or manage embassies, so why do federal problems keep being the ones above the fold on the local newspaper?
