Oh for sure, I think it will probably do just fine at the box office, regardless of how good it ends up being. I have lots of concerns, but it's Nolan, and there are certainly plenty of cases where he's had a vision that initially seemed unworkable and pulled it off. That said, my concerns aren't really the same type of concerns that folks had when they couldn't see Heath Ledger as The Joker. That was just underestimating a younger actor's total ability, which is something Nolan and his casting team could see firsthand when most everyone else could not. But I know what the Trojan Horse looks like. I know what the armor looks like. The casting concerns mostly aren't about various actors' ability to perform on camera, so much as the weirdness of the decisions given the characters we know they're going to play. Zendaya is a big exception to that point for me, since I know what her "range" is, and... meh. We also know that they're all using American accents (or however everyone normally speaks) and that there's a ton of deliberate anachronism that will probably be distracting. It just seems like there's a lot of things that are bad ideas which are unlikely to turn out to be surprisingly great. But plenty of bad movies have dominated at the box office, and plenty of incredible movies have flopped and gotten terrible reviews. So who knows.

The dislikes on The Odyssey trailer are now even worse, at only 56k likes and 352k dislikes, an 86% dislike ratio. Negative press about the movie and projected box office revenue keep accelerating as the amount of bad news keeps accumulating. Of course... the movie can do well. It's Christopher Nolan, and great name recognition... but even recent movies like Snow White and The Little Mermaid disappointed commercially despite the name recognition.
