Naidu ji, let’s try a thought experiment. Say your salary is 2 lakhs and your driver’s is 20,000. You announce a 50% increase for everybody. Your salary is now 3 lakhs and your driver’s is 30,000. The percentage or proportional increase is the same — but aren’t you much better off than your driver, than you used to be?
That’s what your fellow Southern CMs are concerned about. You don’t think there’s any difference between UP’s 80 MPs today versus Kerala’s 20 MPs, if it tomorrow becomes 120 vs 30? Some proportionate difference, huge difference in political weight — with 90 more UP MPs against 10 more Kerala MPs. Is that of no concern to you at all?

So, in summary, Telegram allows message editing without a visible flag via a trick. So cheaters were being scammed. And causing panic, without a real paper leak. Isn't the right response to this just an announcement detailing how this works, and eliminating the panic? 🤔

Telegram's credibility also comes under question. Why do messages have a "Hide Edit" flag that client apps respect? It seems like a huge attack vector, and I can't think of any UX justification for this. @durov

This ban is such a stupid decision. A paper leak is literally a PDF document that can be shared via infinite ways. There’s nothing inherently that telegram enables or can even contribute to making the leak easy or anonymous.

India’s IT ministry banned Telegram for one week because some users shared leaked exam questions. This punishes 150M+ ordinary Telegram users in India — not the insiders who leaked the exam materials. And the ban hasn't stopped anything. The leaks just moved to other apps.

Indian telecom Reliance is sabotaging access to Telegram for millions of users OUTSIDE India (including the UAE) via a rogue method called BGP hijacking.
The sabotage seems intentional, as Reliance has ignored multiple reports.
This may be part of a competitive war, as Reliance is partially owned by Meta — the company behind WhatsApp.
Network operators are advised to reject unauthorized BGP announcements from Reliance (AS18101) to prevent route hijacks and ensure stable Internet access for their users.
Such abuse of global Internet routing is alarming. I wouldn’t be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind the recent lobbying effort to ban Telegram in India.

I feel like cricket should only have 1 world cup which happens after 4 years. The T20 world cup has ruined that “larger than life” feel which we used to get back in the days for a CWC. Also two different world champions at the same time in a single sport literally makes no sense.
