@iamabdulkadirl @RushilMehtani @iamabdulkadirl - Why not apply for a UK CC given spends are primarily in GBP & Govt transactions. Amex UK has a offer running for a certain spend limit, also HSBC premier world elite.
If you can break the 3K gbp spend over a couple of months then maybe HSBc premier India

Thanks Rushil. I have already finished my 4L spends on Plat Travel. Plus the forex is high. I might go with a zero forex card this time like scapia or onecard. At least it will help cut down the cost by 2-4%. For next time i plan to get IndusInd avios, the joining bonus is sweet. Next time i will have a bigger visa spend and it gaves 0.5% in miles so wont mind that.

Hi #ccgeeks I have a ~3000 GBP spend coming soon for post study work visa in the UK. This usually gets marked as govt spend mcc. The cards i have dont give any rewards on this spend. I wanted to check if there are any cards that can help here? I also might have ~6L INR spend on this in ~1 year on govt spend (visa). Cards with me today are Magnus regular, EPM, Atlas, Regalia Gold, Amex Plat travel, MRCC.

I reached out to my 🪓 Bank RM to get the regular Magnus card. I already hold EPM, have a decent salary, so I assumed approval would be straightforward.
Surprisingly, it was rejected because my salary slip didn’t clearly show in-hand salary. The RM bluntly said it was not possible, no matter what.
Remembered @aadil quote on “itni shiddat” and reached out to Harshit. He connected me with the right RM, who got it approved instantly on a card-to-card basis (EPM had a 10.5L limit and was over a year old).
Result:
✅ Magnus approved immediately
✅ Credit limit jumped from 5.16L to 10L
For context, I had asked for a limit increase in August and got just 16k, with a 6-month wait advised before reapplying.
Moral of the story: You need the right RM. With that, anything is possible. Thank you so much, Harshit! 🙏

There are a few questions for which I wish to address:
1. Direct mutual funds doesn’t count for TRV
2. Stocks count for TRV but you can’t trade.
When I opened, I was offered ICICI trading account but now it is not possible. So you will have to keep this mind
3. For salary, it need not have corporate tie up. This corporate tie up is only for the 5% cashback offer on the debit card

🚨 Thoughts on the Premier 3.0 revaluation (and how best to get it) HSBC Premier had launched the revalued 3.0 card yesterday and here is what I think Premier is already a good offering. I use it for: ▪️ Forex - 0.99% fees with 3-6% returns (particularly useful where Olympus is excluded like cabs, tolls, metro and transportation) ▪️ Excluded categories (taxes, insurance, wallet load, etc) - till Rs 1L a month, we earn points ▪️ Reward Marketplace for flights (18-36% returns; hotels give 36-72% returns) Now after 3.0, it is good for airport transfers and Meet & Greet (other benefits are not at all counted) All this for a LTF card? 🔥 The joining fees is more than compensated by 20k points (Rs 40k value with Accor)! 🔥 Absolutely try and get it if eligible. How to get? 1. Rs 3L Salary credit to HSBC 2. Rs 40L TRV - this can be as demat holdings! 💥 I have checked with my RM and for now even demat holdings can be TRV. I myself have Premier this way. 😉 None of the above can be relaxed. And no jugaad like keeping towards end of month and withdrawing (you will be charged). DM if you want to have my RM contact.

@airindiain I have been trying to reschedule since 2 days. It's on hold , I get on ticketing team after 40 mins and apparently each call lasts only 45 mins. Before my request is complete the call gets cancelled. Horrible experience with customer service.

@airindiain I have been trying to book a Mum-Lon ticket since yesterday- after 20+ calls and 5 hrs - I am still in the same position. My only fault that I had an open ticket with AI -this is really pathetic customer service
