He was a married father of 4 That is my son in the cowboy hat next to Eric So tragic, so sad Might be time for me to retire from cycling. This one is hitting me hard. I’ve always heard horror stories about BMW service costs. I just got my first taste of them. Got charged $675 for the dealership to attempt to diagnose the reason a warning light came on one day and then went back off. The conclusion? No idea. Everything is fine. Along with an oil and brake fluid change and air filters we’re at $1902. Think I’ll find an independent mechanic.

I think I’m really getting over the idea of having a bunch of cars. They constantly need something. The registration is due, but wait, they need smogged, the oil needs changed, the tires need aired up, they’re dirty and need washed, haven’t driven it forever and forgot to put it on the tender so the battery is dead, blah blah blah. Unless you’re Jay Leno and have someone managing this crap for you it’s like another job.

@SievaKozinsky @sweatystartup Agreed. I think you’ll always need someone that understands a division of the business to oversee but the tech is moving fast. We were barely talking agent AI a year ago.

@sweatystartup @SievaKozinsky Engineering and marketing teams are probably first on the list. If 4 engineers can use genetic AI to write code cheaper than a team of 20 they’ll switch. Same for marketing. 100 AI agents running 24/7 constantly testing and refining run by a few great employees.

Was lucky enough to meet @chrisjbarton last night and hear his condensed key note on the story behind @shazam

And Shazam almost didn’t make it….multiple times. Chris’ story of how they found a way to make the impossible possible and Survived years of almost failing until the App Store came into existence is truly inspiring.

As a recording engineer I’ve always been blown away that Shazam exists. Music through a random speaker, in a crowded place, going through a microphone on any phone can magically tell you within seconds what song it is by comparing it to every song ever made should be impossible.
