I’m a product of East London in the 80s, a working-class kid who grew up in a diverse community where who you were mattered more than your background. Today, as a happily married white man and a proud Londoner, I love our multicultural society. But I also have concerns about illegal immigration and believe in the absolute right to free speech. ​My views don't fit into a box. I don't consider myself left, right, or centre. I believe trans women are men. I believe people should base their views/opinions on empirical evidence and fact, not political concensus. I believe that children are our future, treat them well and let them lead the way. I believe ​the division we're seeing is a cancer. When a woman is stabbed to death on a train, or a man is assassinated in front of thousands, the focus shouldn't immediately turn political. The genuine happiness some show at the death of a political opponent is not normal human behavior. I believe we've lost our way, trading empathy for tribalism. We need to go back to a time when we cared more about the individual than the flag they wave.
