@FrankBr05713205 Years ago, I couldn't find a good alternator anywhere. I went through 6 of them in 2 years. Finally, I spent a few extra $$$ and got mine rebuilt at local shop. Never changed it again. Maybe you could get your old pump rebuilt like that locally.

@FrankBr05713205 I went into NAPA last month looking for a quality fuel pump, cuz NAPA would have those, right? They have a Carter for $180. Take it home, and nearly cut the bag open when I see a (I won't name names, but it was a cheap POS company) tag on it. Can't find good ones🤷‍♂️

Seems like the quality of most everything has gone so downhill. My home well water pump quit working yesterday so I went to Menards and purchased a brand name one that had "USA" on the box. My pump is located in a tight crawl space so its quite a chore to change. But I got it all done, primed it and waited for it to build pressure. It got to 40 psi and sparks then flew out of the motor. The motor had burned out, meaning my brand new pump lasted for 5 minutes! The old pump (same brand) had been in service for 20 years. That's when I noticed the the USA tag on the box had small letters that said "assembled in USA" So the pump brand that used to be made in USA is now just assembled in USA. I then went to an old hardware store and found a pump on the shelf that was still made in USA. Its working fine. (so far) So aggravating!

@FayeKnoozIV @FrankBr05713205 My old microwave was still working after 30 years. I only got rid of it because I bought a house with one of those bolted on microwaves. The door acts up all the time, just as you say.
