Since the 1911 was never a trademarked designator and the patent ran out, then the only limitation would be the design of the gun being consistent with the original 1911

I posted this information after it happened but deleted it soon after because I didn't want to start unnecessary beef. But Cody Wilson reached out to me after my channel was deleted by YouTube. He wanted me to start a lawsuit "Aranda v YouTube" (my last name is Aranda so poor Cody can't dox me). Said he had it all ready to go when I met with him in person. The catch - I would be asking for donations from you all to fund it via getting me media coverage. Said "I will get you on Tucker Carlson next week". Told me not only would it fund the lawsuit, it would pay me in excess of 6 figures. Straight into my wallet - nothing to do with legal expenses. Told me how I don't have to worry about finding new employment. Basically he wanted me to scam you out of money to line both his and my pockets, as well as potentially regain some of his status in the 3D2A space. I am sure he knew full well the effort would have been fruitless, just a new ploy for him to fund his failing business endeavors. Even after all I have seen I was still surprised by his desire to help journalists dox the most prolific designer in our space. There isn't a cause or person that Cody isn't willing to use to his advantage and then discard the moment he can. If you think he is your friend - he isn't. He is just looking for the moment he can exploit you to his benefit. But Cody sees the writing on the wall. He is no different than a man who jumped off of a 50 story building thinking everything was fine for the first 45 floors. He now sees the ground and knows the end is near. There is no way his early BTC investments can fund his operations much longer. When I was at the defcad/defense distributed office - the electrical company was there to turn off his electricity since he hadn't paid the bill. Made up some lie about he tried paying but they wouldn't accept it. No - he has no funds to keep paying his (severely underpaid) employees when the only products he offers is stolen designs and a half assed CNC mill. Cody Wilson was once named one of the most dangerous people online. He is only dangerous now because he is desperate. But his prominence will continue to fade and he will realize when it is all over. I think that time is soon. I sincerely regret including him in my 3D printed guns documentary without a large caption explaining what a scum person he is. No one should revere him. I'd pity him if he had any redeeming qualities.
