Probably a case of me holding things wrong but I'm getting much better results for my evals by using XML instead of JSON, but I also sometimes get invalid XML. I'm tempted to just use a sloppy XML parser (or heck, parse it with regular expressions) instead.

For converting my internal errors to something for the API, which of those options is what I should be using in Go? (Or am I doing this completely incorrectly and there is a better option)

@mitsuhiko Depends on how much logic you have in your handlers. If there is just one models call, you probably don't need this.

@bancek Is that a common pattern in go? It seems like people recommend against this.

Has anyone been dealing with gunicorn workers running a Django app not shutting down gracefully and needing to be killed with SIGKILL? The weird thing is that I can reproduce this locally with DEBUG=True but not with DEBUG=False. Any hints on how to debug?

@zeeg Does your app handle a lot of text input? If yes, do not use Flutter. Flutter does not use native text input fields but reimplements everything from scratch so the experience on iOS is quite bad.

Flutter or React Native? What if you have an existing React app? Not sure much is genuinely reusable. Def want to be able to reuse type bindings though.

@anze3db Use smaller structs or group fields with empty lines. Each group has a separate column alignment.

One thing I dislike about `go fmt` is the column alignment of structs. A small oneline change can result in a multiline diff. For PR reviews on GitHub, disabling whitespace changes (?w=1) can be helpful, but you'll still have to deal with needless git conflicts from time to time

@samuelcolvin @pydantic That is true. The formatting of f-string causes side effects. But collecting the trace in Logfire might cause these side effects to be called again.

@bancek @pydantic Well, the same would be true if you used increment in any f-string.

f-string magic just landed in @pydantic Logfire. It means we extract variables from f-string messages and add them to attributes. All the advantages of attributes and constant span names, with IDE warnings and auto-complete. Plus you no longer have to write out the name three times - `"{state}", state=state` becomes `f"{state}"`
