This is such a bad stereotype of those who hail from the South. I am from AP and we never start the day like this ever. Firstly, in traditional south Indian households, breakfast is an alien concept. There's always an early lunch and a tiffin in the late afternoon when idlis may be prepared.
Secondly, idli is just one among the huge number of dishes we prepare for the afternoon tiffin - probably just once a week, or maximum, twice a week.
Thirdly, many south Indian households like mine have adapted to the north Indian roti for breakfast. Breakfast is a modern adaptation in working families. #SouthIndia #breakfast #stereotype
