No one who came after in this space understands the UASF at all. They don't understand the strategy, the dynamics, the history, why it actually worked, anything. They're all just cargo culting a historical event they don't actually understand.

@willyidols @PeterMcCormack @TomSwarbrick1 Alternate theory: a degree suggests you’re teachable. Marketing firms don’t need you to market immediately, they can teach that. They just need to know you’re teachable. A small biz owner can’t/doesn’t want to teach. They need someone who can do, so experience is a better metric

Yup, @TomSwarbrick1 is absolutely right. I’ll speak as an employer, the first part of your CV I look at isn’t your degree, it’s your work experience and the things you have done in life. Let’s take marketing as an example, I’d take someone who skipped university and has spent a year actively working on marketing than someone who spent three years at uni, doing a marketing degree, likely taught by someone who doesn’t understand marketing. Blair’s goal of getting more people into uni was a scam, it saddled people with debt for Mickey Mouse degrees which did not make them more employable.
