@charles_maddock They can do this, and propably will. Problem was in 5G modems. They are produced by not many companies and cost a lot, 200-300$. Few years ago Apple started producing own modems, which will enable them to install modems without affecting base device cost that much.

Also I was surprised how similar were our UI's in terms of structure. They have mature app but it has same structure as mine. And in terms of features we are quite on par. It can be read both as: My app is like mature app:) or My app is like mature app:(

Lol, today I learned that my competition for my app is based in Russia, which means they don't need to do anything about privacy and data portability. This means I will be not able to make import data from their app, and they would be able to make import from my app. Not good!

Courtyard apartment buildings are some of the finest structures any city can have! They allow for a high density that doesn't feel imposing, quasi-public space (or quasi-private depending on design), much light, air, and organic social interactions. Let's build more!

@vanschneider I was always thinking that people want to work at Apple because they have UI design tradition (which is started to rot recently, but still). No other company their size has tradition in UI field.

Most designers dream of working for Apple or similar. They want to join a team at the top. And I get it, I do. Maybe its the way I was raised, but I don't see the attractiveness in joining a winning team, quite the opposite. Especially as a designer, I'd rather work somewhere or on something that hasn't figured out design yet, where you can figure out all the problems and move something, have a real impact. I see no personal challenge (or fulfilling feeling) in joining a winning team where the bed is already made. Give me the unsexy thing nobody else wanted, give me something messy. I hope and wish more designers will see it this way in the future too, after all isn't that why we become designers in the first place?

Glad to see that @ahrefs now offers starter plan. It was already best tool for SEO, now it is also the most affordable, as competition starts at x5 of price

@benjitaylor We of course need to strive for self explanatory interfaces, but we should remember they are extremely hard to build and prone to frustrating experiences that turn users away Sometimes building good onboarding explainer, or reachable non-intrusive help is easier and better

@benjitaylor When you building B2C app or just free app at crowded market, it is much harder. Users will give a try, suck at it once and leave. I saw tons of behavior that can be considered stupid, but it is reality – you can't expect your users be UI experts or computer savvy.

@benjitaylor As far as I remember idea that need to explain interface = failed interface, comes from Apple. I thought a lot about this idea when building my product, and what I discovered is that it is much easier apply this principle when you making product users forced to use.
