Love to pretend we’re different to other fanbases but the treatment of this guy is proving we’re absolutely not. And there were plenty of the same people saying last summer that this entire season was a free hit because of what happened in July.

Imagine he’d have caught Stach that late while he passed it in the centre circle. He’d have given away a free kick and got booked. But cos he had a shot, do whatever you want.

Exactly why Liverpool couldn't get Semenyo and Guehi, Everyone spends money, but there are consequences. No club in England can afford to wirte off signings like Nico Gonzalez and Reijnders and just go the market and solve all their problems every single time, everyone has to live with their bad signings and try to make it work for at least a season, City don't. City have a 30m back up GK. Arsenal couldn't get Garcia for 25m, bcos there was no enough money to spend for other areas

Thanks @BassTunedToRed, for writing this. It’s fucking exhausting because it feels like the same story on loop. Start well, miss chances, concede, collapse. But what you and I are feeling isn’t just frustration at results, it’s fatigue from a cycling loop. Groundhog Day. It looks like mentality, but it’s mostly structure. When the game flips, we don’t have the tools to regain control. No tempo setter, no real width to stretch teams, no stable rest-defence. So once we go behind, everything speeds up and falls apart. The xG stuff muddies it tbh. On paper it says ‘we’re fine’, but the chances we create aren’t as repeatable or high leverage as the ones we concede. So it feels like bad luck, but it’s actually the same underlying weakness getting exposed in multiple ways. The grief, the pre-season disruption all matter and the impact is fundamentally seismic and multiplicative, but they’re not the full explanation. A robust squad absorbs shocks. This one hasn’t been built properly, and Hughes hasn’t given the coach what he needs to stabilise it. That’s why it’s draining. Because deep down you know this doesn’t get fixed by effort, or belief, or even a different coach. It gets fixed by building the team properly. And until that happens, it’s just going to keep feeling like this. Same weighting as before for me. 1. External Factors - 35% 2. Recruitment - 33% 3. Coach - 22% 4. Players - 20%

UB40 on stage at the Together Alliance march, "We were all born in the 1950s, that was the time unions were strong, my dad was a factor worker, and we had the NHS, council houses, and it was a great time for the working class" "We all grew up in inner city Birmingham, it was a melting pot. You could sit on your doorstep and see teh four corners of the world go by" "Members of the band were the first generation of Black British. Their parents came over in the Windrush convoy. We went to school together" "And we remember Enoch Powell's rivers of blood speech" "We remember when the Tories using posters saying: if you want a coloured person as your neighbour, vote Labour" "We also remember the rise of the national front. Policies to force repatriation of people from the Caribbean" "Then we had the rise of the BNP in the 80s and the 90s" "Then we had the spivs and millionaires in UKIP" "And now we've got Reform UK" "Of course they're full of Tories, taking the toxic policies that UKIP had, and the National Front promise of forced repatriation which is what Theresa May did in her government" "Over the years we've visited all kinds of places from America, Australia, Africa" "And one thing we've come to the conclusion of is that working people around the world have more in common with each other than they do with the elites and the billionaire class" "There are more of us than there are of them" "This has been such an amazing turnout, it's absolutely incredible" "In conclusion, I'd like to quote that great political philosopher, Wolfie Smith, and say" "Power to the people" Thank you @UB40OFFICIAL @UKTogetherAll 👏

🚨 IRAN JUST OFFERED EUROPE A HORMUZ DEAL. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY JUST TRIGGERED. 🚨 On the surface: Iran offered the EU transit access through the Strait of Hormuz. Sounds like a small diplomatic move. Standard geopolitics. It is not. This is a goddamn financial nuclear bomb. Let that sink in. 💀 The Hormuz Strait carries 20% of ALL the world's oil consumption 💀 Europe's energy bill jumped $16.2 BILLION in just 30 days of war 💀 Natural gas in Europe is up 100%. Oil up 60%. Diesel at $200/barrel 💀 Dollar reserves have already fallen from 70% to 56.9% in 25 years 💀 Iran joined BRICS in 2024. Russia banned dollar transactions. Gold hit $5,500/oz ⚠️ If Europe takes this deal, they pay in euros — not dollars ⚠️ One major non-dollar oil deal is all it takes to show the world it CAN be done Do you understand the scale of what's happening? ⚠️ The petrodollar is the most powerful financial system ever created. Born in 1974. It forced every nation on Earth to hold dollars just to buy oil. That's the entire basis of US financial dominance. Not strength. Not trust. OIL. ⚠️ If that system cracks — BRICS accelerates, Gulf states reconsider, dollar demand collapses, and America can no longer fund its $34 trillion debt on easy terms. The US doesn't lose a battle. It loses the WAR — the financial one it's been winning since 1974. ⚠️ ECB board member Panetta said it on April 2: "Even if the Iran war ends, the damage has been done." Deutsche Bank called the Iran war a "catalyst" for yuan replacing the petrodollar. They're showing you a war about nuclear weapons and regional security. They're NOT showing you that the REAL war is over who gets to print the world's reserve currency. Here's the logic — follow it carefully: → Iran blocks Hormuz for the US. Opens it for EU with a deal. → EU, desperate and bleeding, seriously considers taking the deal. → Deal gets done in euros or yuan. Not dollars. → Every country watching — BRICS, Global South, Gulf states — sees it happen. → "If the EU can bypass the dollar, so can we." → Dollar demand falls. Reserve share collapses. US inflation rises. → You didn't just lose a trade route. You lost the dollar's 50-year monopoly on global trust. If America is so powerful and the dollar is so safe, why is the EU considering a deal with the country America is bombing? If Western unity is so solid, why did 40 countries meet to reopen Hormuz and achieve absolutely nothing? Complete silence. This is no longer just a Middle East war. This is a direct attack on the petrodollar — the system that powers the entire American empire. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨 This post is being throttled. Like + RT to keep it alive. ⚠️

Just listened to former CEO of M&S and Tory peer, Stuart Rose, telling @BBCPM that people are going to have to get used to being colder as a result of the energy crisis caused by the US and Israel's illegal war on Iran and by NATO's proxy war in Ukraine. He was on with @ClareMoriarty who is the CEO of @CitizensAdvice. Both agreed that the country couldn't afford to bail people out if energy bills significantly increase. But that is completely false. For a start, if @ofgem did its job properly, electricity bills would be 25% cheaper, and if the govt nationalised the profiteering  energy companies, bills could be slashed still further. Even in the absence of the energy regulator doing its job properly, and the govt failing in its duty to renationalise the utilities, the govt could still make sure than everyone is assisted with their energy bills, because it issues the currency. And contrary to what Stuart Rose asserted the govt wouldn't need to borrow to do so (which is a misnomer anyway because "govt borrowing" is actually the value of govt bonds, AKA gilts, that it sells to provide risk free savings accounts for wealthy elites  banks, foreign investors, pension funds and insurance companies etc).  The only limit on govt spending isn't the availability of money, it's the availability of real resources in the economy such as workers, infrastructure, machinery, materials etc. So short term assistance with energy bills could be made available by the govt, but the better option would be to instruct ofgem to do its job properly, or better still renationalise the energy companies. Furthermore, if the govt stopped facilitating Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people and its illegal war on Iran, British oil tankers could traverse the Strait of Hormuz unimpeded.
