Most of my auto rides are with the kid, who is about as German as they come when it comes to rules. So every auto ride is a litany of rules the driver is breaking - not put indicator, drove through red light, looking at phone & not in front. Small mercy that its all in German & the driver is unaware of what is being said.

what is the smallest, but useful llm that anyone has running all the time in the background on their laptop? I'm thinking maybe i should have a 9B model running on my Linux desktop which I can hit over tailscale.

@avataram yeah, i'm now spoiled after living there. It was closer to 4.5Cr (old) - 6Cr (new). It was walking distance from "Silk Institute" metro station, which I took all the time. Good on-prem services (gardener, facilities etc), better neighbors (lol, $). lots of space. highly recommend

Growing up in Bangalore, I had never seen a non-orange carrot - even the ones we grew on our farm. And I used to think other color carrots are somehow "made up". It turned out to be the other way - as my Punjabi friend told me - all he knew were the red kind.
