@XboxSupport went to subscribe to game pass on iPad and was offered 1 month for $1 (see image). But only got 14 days at checkout. I called customer service and offered to send the screenshot, but they just blew me off. Fix your misleading advertisement!

@caseyliss Thanks! The various Apple support pages are fairly confusing about it. They say that “Apple TV 4K uses a high bandwidth form of Dolby Atmos that doesn’t work over ARC connections.” That confused me as to whether the ATV needed to plug into the eARC port.

@budish (Though semi-annoyingly, the TV shows the Dolby Vision logo but isn’t sure what is being played by the Arc so it doesn’t show the Atmos logo. But the Sonos app reports Atmos when the source support it)

@caseyliss question about your Sonos and Apple TV set up that you’ve discussed on ATP. Are you running an ATV4K to your TV’s regular HDMI port and then connecting the Sonos bar (Arc?) to the TVs eARC port? Does that get you Atmos and Dolby Vision?

@codyh @ThatAndromeda +1 to this. I like carrot and Apple’s weather app in iOS 16 is soooo much better. If you tap on things, it opens up all these detail views.

OK, so, when I'm dragged kicking and screaming off of DarkSky on 1/1/23, what do I want instead? It looks like the Apple weather app sucks. Carrot's vibe just doesn't work for me. I like hourly forecasts, temp/precip/wind, the intuitive UI. ?

Mini review of the #AppleWatchUltra :
✅ Bigger screen better for my old eyes
✅ GPS track was spot on
✅ Extra button great for starting and stopping
✅ Precision start was overdue
❌ need first party routing/mapping for workouts

A new Stage Manager behavior in iPadOS 16.1 beta 2:
If a window covers other windows in the background, you now have almost pixel-by-pixel repositioning available. Seems to only work horizontally and not vertically.

Apple’s “Photonic Engine” is fine for most uses. But if you want to take photos in a cave, you’ll need the “Platonic Engine”
