Moved to Australia almost 8 years back. Stoked and lucky to be in this beautiful country with great, talented humans! I always have the urge to do more and be a part of a community that would want to think and work beyond the normal means. Sounds like @build_aus solves this.

Day 1 and we've rocketed to 1,000 followers. That's 1,000 people that support a movement and mindset shift to shake this country out of stagnation. Thank you all. But we're just getting started. #buildaustralia

The old Australian dream is dead. Today, we launch a new movement for those who think seriously about the future of Australia, and believe in it. Website is now live. Along with our first essay, outlining what we envision as the future of Australia. Join us to #buildaustralia

@build_aus I'm doing my best for Australia's immunology research and energy electrification but hope to contribute to manufacturing later on (:

I love Australia so much <3 What this nation has given me, I want to give back 100x. But I can only do that by working on projects bigger than myself. Build Australia is one such project.

@build_aus Would be great to integrate a non Linkedin slop job posting/networking board with a focus in value creating industries and roles for builders. Would be gains to fill that niche. Haven’t seen anytbing that fits that bill yet, even the VC careers pages are very “corporate”.

@build_aus @bitpixi Hello@hackeroos.com.au and filled out the forms, and subscription. I’m a US Citizen who worked in tech in Silicon Valley for many years, and was surprised to see such lack of innovation or funding here. Was hoping to begin to change this. I’m in Victoria.

@tjstebbing Would be great for every Australian to have access to cheap and abundant energy. Who's building this that you know Tim?

We need cheap abundant energy as the first priority for manufacuring. Australia is positioned to be the global leader in safe nuclear energy if we're smart about it. CSIRO were working on a theoretical high impulse laser system that would reduce the half life of spent uranium to hours not millenia. Combine this with our abundant uranium, and we could be building Aussie made gen4 micro reactors around the world that operate on a 'swap-n-go' basis where we establish a world leading infrastructure that has Australia providing pluggable uranium into our proprietary reactors and taking away and processing the spent cores. This would prevent any nuclear material proliferation for dirty bombs, as clients are dependant on our supply and must return. Australia needs a private sector that has the balls to invest and run with forward thinking projects like this, which will pave the way for Australia's new industry power demands, as well as make us a world leader in power generation.
