Not surprised that people are immediately trying to write revisionist history about the game today. That’s what idiots do -Arsenal scored from open play. PSG could not -PSG needed a penalty, conceded by Arsenal’s 3rd string RB, to score at all -Outside of that penalty, PSG did not record a shot on target inside the box until the 117th minute -PSG needed a penalty shootout to win the game Casual fans will look at the possession and the shots, without understanding that Arsenal allowed PSG to have the ball and shoot it from non-threatening areas on purpose At the end of the day, PSG deserved to win, because they stepped up when it mattered But anybody suggesting that Arsenal didn’t play well, or didn’t execute their plan to perfection, is either lying to you for interactions, or they are genuinely incapable of analyzing the game that they just watched It really is that simple, at the end of the day

But mate, you guys could have finished psg if you put one more goal away… psg didnt play well but they kept applying the pressure in your box and got a mistake. Yes arsenal defended well but you expose yourself to such devastating mistakes that could cost you and it happened, when you could have taken the game to an underperforming psg and possibly gotten a 2nd goal that would have probably sealed it. You guys were content with holding a 1-0 lead for 85 minutes against one of the best attacking teams in the world and that clearly was not a recipe for success. You spent millions to only conjure up a performance like that when you have the players to go toe to toe with the best. Its not revisionism you’re just coping with how the style of play your team plays clearly can not earn you European success🤷🏼‍♂️

It is extremely rare for me to applaud a referee, but hats off to Daniel Siebert. He was spot on not to award Arsenal a penalty for Madueke’s fall inside the box. Slow down the replay and watch it again. Madueke was the one pulling Mendes' arm, and he was already going down looking for contact. If anything, it should have been a free kick to PSG. Brilliant officiating from the referee.
