The Turks stole Constantinople, renamed it, drove the Christians down to .2% turned historic churches into Mosques banning Christians for hundreds of years. Then in 1935 they became museums open to the public before Erdogan in 2020 made them Mosques again banning Christians again

This rhetoric is not based on any facts on the ground. I am a practicing Catholic living in Türkiye, and I attend church here regularly. I have even visited multiple churches along the Syrian–Turkish border, including in Mardin, where we listened to a church service in Aramaic, a language closely related to the dialect of Aramaic spoken by Jesus. Anyone pushing the narrative that Türkiye is somehow unsafe for Christians is selling you a false story designed to justify inflammatory rhetoric aimed at pulling the region into further conflict.
