We contribute 980 billion to NATO annually and the next closest is Germany at 93 billion. Again… our annual defense budget is none of your concern and has absolutely nothing to do with this conversation anyway. You bringing it up just goes to show that Europeans look at the US like we are a fucking ATM. You’re basically saying that we spend so much money on defense every year, that we shouldn’t care about another $5 billion. Myself and millions of other hard working Americans provided that 5 billion that you seem to think isn’t a big deal. That logic is not only disrespectful, but it’s the logic of a spoiled child. Not to mention the fact that we are the largest consumer economy in the world and we gave away all of our production capabilities to foreign countries by getting rid of Tariffs, while other countries Tariff us without a second thought. So foreign countries are upset that Trump is making an effort to reduce our dependence on foreign manufacturing which will take money away from their economies and put it back into our own economy. Where it should be. In my opinion, all foreign aid from the U.S. should be halted. American tax dollars should be spent on Americans only. End of story.
