Criticizing planning is one thing. Pretending officers should hesitate in front of an armed threat is asking them to risk their lives.

Bodycam footage has been released of Miami deputies serving a warrant for Cristian Barata (25) who was suspected of distributing child pornography. As the cops breached the door, women and children came out and Cristian's brother, Christopher (21), came out of his room with a Sig Sauer P365XL wearing a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X & a Vortex Defender red dot optic at the low ready position. Police opened fire on Christopher, killing him. Both brothers were TSA agents. FDLE is investigating the shooting incident which certainly isn't a black and white use of force like we normally see. Christopher doesn't appear to raise his firearm before being shot and being armed in your house isn't a crime; especially in south Florida where criminals have a long history of breaking into homes whilst announcing "police or policia!!!" If police are executing a warrant from a US court, identifying themselves loudly, wearing uniforms... regardless of your right to bear arms, I recommend you put your weapon down. You don't have to raise it to be a threat. Just the perception of intent to cause great bodily harm is enough.

Random and PSA: Kidney stones are no joke! I was battling one all night in terrible pain and finally at 5am got the wife (she’s the best) to take me to the hospital. I’ve never experienced one, and was thinking it was food poisoning at first but three hours in, knew something was wrong. Still hasn’t passed, but doc says the horrible pains have mostly gone away. Last night was rough. I’ve never thrown up due to pain, but yeah that was happening all night If you’ve experienced kidney stones, I have a different level of respect for you. I also feel terrible where they are a common part of people’s lives (God willing, that won’t be the case forever and God willing, that won’t be my case) but man, kidney stones are no joke, at all Random post over. I pray you never have to deal with one and I pray if you have, you won’t have to again.
