@antoniabance Same in my area! My road is also used as a cut through and the amount of speeding drivers taking their kids to school in giant cars is absolutely infuriating.

'It’s a quick and simple test.'
HIV Consultant Elly has been part of the NHS programme to test people for HIV and Hepatitis in A&E departments.
Over the last year, almost 2,000 previously undiagnosed people have been identified and treated by the NHS.

Today @UKHSA has announced 10 new cases of #mpox in London.
We are calling for the extension of the current vaccine programme for gay and bisexual men, as well as for continued vigilance to the signs and symptoms of #mpox.

Really pleased to see *something* happening on childcare. But as a parent of a nearly 2 year old, paying £12K a year for a part time place at nursery, this is an achingly long time to phase in these reforms.

Someone said ‘baby brain!’ to me yesterday after a very minor mistake and I’m still fed up. I hate the implication that once a woman’s had a child her brain doesnt work so well. Human error is a thing!!

@LibbyPageWrites Eugh, yes completely relate to this. I have alternate Fridays off with my daughter and so often encounter really exhausted mums at play groups/soft play who are often minimising their partner’s really crappy level of effort. I find it incredibly depressing.

I could write a whole book about the conversations overheard at soft play. Although it may be a little depressing: so many separate groups of women having different versions of the same talk about wishing their husbands would help more with home and family life.

@ladylaxton I studied it until 17 and failed at AS Level (showing my age!). I found the move from school-level to FE maths too jarring. That said, it would have been really helpful to have learnt calculus before doing a science degree - I had to do a lot of catching up eventually…

I get it, numbers are important. But if I had to do maths until 18 I definitely would have left school with a failed A Level, and missed out on a subject I enjoyed!
Maths is important, but so is learning what you love.
