For how great the Jack Hughes contract is, the Palat contract is so horrifically bad it completely offsets it. Absolute anchor holding this team back

For those of you saying “Palat’s contract was never that bad!” Yes, it was, and yes, it is. He provides a “surplus value” of $-4.5 million per year. Only reason he isn’t on the top 10 worst contracts list is because there are only two years left on the deal. #NJDevils
