A violent Portland Antifa member (Dajah Renee Beck @dontgetkettled) who was convicted of felonies over her role in Antifa attacks in Oregon is targeting moderate Portland city council member @CommissionerRG after he dared to name Antifa over recent terror incidents. An Antifa blog posted claims of responsibility for those arson attacks, including one outside his home. Dajah Beck was arrested again just last month while on probation.

It would be ethical for us to assume people make missteps not out of malice but out of ignorance. It’s not like Portland makes it easy, with its inclination to go scorched earth on every issue.

People new to organizing should be afforded a sliver of grace to understand where they may have misstepped or unwittingly allowed a misunderstanding to run wild. It’s not reasonable to expect brand new people to immediately get everything perfectly right.

I don’t know for sure what is going on with FPP right now. It *appears* that Jad is out, and I’m inclined to believe that’s true. I do know for sure that Jad is openly working to sabotage both Zaytuna and FPP. Zaytuna is not a subgroup of FPP: they are not affiliated at all.

Heartbreaking for me, my niece Ahlam has ascended to God. She was martyred, far from her bed, home, and neighbourhood, displaced in south Gaza. After a week, she was hospitalized, and today, she surrendered, a victim of the starvation war Israel has waged on Palestinians. She held a Master's degree in literature, was compassionate and sensitive. Ambitious, she aspired to pursue PhD studies in literature. She was killed... As a child, she resembled a doll; I often carried her to the small shop around the corner. Do not cry for me, I am strong, but share the truth. Know the truth. Remember her name, Ahlam, which means dreams. Ahlam has left us, and now you are left with a choice: to be on the right side of history or otherwise. There is no other option.
