The Belfast pro-Pals have been harassing shops every day for years. Now they’re just filling trolleys with any old products and leaving them for staff on minimum wage to put back. They are the most IRRITATING and horrible people.

@JimGamble_INEQE @NotThatBigIan It's all a tad ropey methinks. The DV process is such, that its failure to pass could be ignored and a post filled regardless. Someone (probably Mandleson himself) REALLY wanted Mandleson in the USA

@NotThatBigIan I find it hard to believe that an appointment to the most important ambassadorial role for the UK would not have required the PMs sign off. An appointment at that level requires a DV cert.

How could a senior civil servant have the power to override a failed Developed Vetting decision to wave through a *political* appointment of the highest significance? Who gave him that power? Why did he have it in the first place? How is it possible no minister knew? #mandelson

When you own your own business and people ask what you are doing at the weekend, the answer is generally working - photo number 1. But then picture number 2 tells its own story as well. Lol

@history99917180 I was once told that the average person will see 3 dead folks (elderly relatives) in their lifetime. As a Police officer in Belfast I saw 9 in a 6 day period not long after I joined, as a very young man. Learned to laugh, but haunted now!!

Yep. Can confirm. But it’s ok, people say ‘you’re trained for it’. Well, I never went on a training course to prepare you for dealing with a human body struck by a lorry at 50mph. We literally put what was left of the bloke into a bin liner!
Joe Whelan@sergeantdixie

@cynicalbobby My cousin was a Traffic Sgt who in his 12 years in that role went to a fatal or potential fatal roughly every 10 days. No debriefs, no offer of welfare, no support network. Nothing. Just expected to come in day after day & get on with it. I’ve no idea how he coped. Many didn’t.

Had a few libtards tell me dark humour is offensive. They’ll never understand At scene of dead skydiver. Body absolutely obliterated. Bloody awful sight. Colleague next to me, ‘Look at the positives skip, he won the last to pull the ripcord bet’. That’s how we kept sane.

@Reciprocity5904 @coogs15 Star Wars was really big back in the late 1970s and early 80s so maybe the statue captured a little known Darth Vader phase that the Bobster went through.

I've mixed feelings about this. On the one hand it's the Disneyfication of terrorism but on the other hand it's a laughably bad statue and they are now stuck with it. They won't remove it anytime soon because that would be an admission it's a piece of crap. The black shiny jacket was an unwise choice although at least it helps to distract attention from everything else.

I seem to have upset the @Nigel_Farage fan club - so let me be clear. This man sows hate, lies and division. He is a grifter and a conman. He does not represent the vast majority of Britons. RT if you agree P.s. multiculturalism is great.

BREAKING: Thousands of Muslim jihadis are on their way to the Christian town of Al-Suqaylabiyah, Syria, following yesterday’s pogrom. They are hunting for Christian blood and want to commit a massacre. It’s crazy how little the world cares about Christians in the Middle East.

@AdamLynch27 Despite attempts in recent decades to turn the day, an all-island & cross community event, into a "nationalist twelfth"... this is a bullshit comparison. I spent the day & night in pubs in Donaghadee & Bangor and it was happily celebrated by all. Sorry 'bout that, chief ☘️

🚨Breaking News Keir Starmer on a trip to Belfast has just re-iterated his claim that he used to sit around the kitchen table with his parents worrying about how to pay household bills coz they couldnt afford them. His Dad owned a toolmaking business and his mum was a nurse.🙄

💥⚠️NEW: Alliance Party could walk away from the Executive - “Don’t take our seat at the table for granted.” 🎥🎤@allianceparty Leader @naomi_long sitting down with Chief Reporter @jamesgould23. It comes ahead of the party’s conference on Saturday. She details frustrations with how the Executive operates, concerns also raised by her colleague, Minister @AndrewMuirNI. Naomi Long says the DUP and Sinn Féin “set the agenda” and believes parties like Alliance and the @uuponline sometimes have to make more compromises than others. She also reveals there have been discussions about walking away from the Executive but says, for now, the balance remains in favour of staying. More from the interview between now and Saturday.

Presumably Mary Lou is popping for more than a photo all to look relevant and is happy to also take responsibility for the utter failure of Stormont to do anything or a Minister in her Party not even knowing what is available to her departmental piggy bank? Hopefully not going un-noticed in Dublin.

🚨🔉NEW: Sinn Féin delegation speaking after meeting Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. @sinnfeinireland President @MaryLouMcDonald joined by First Minister @moneillsf and MP @patcullen9. The Prime Minister is in Northern Ireland to set out his commitment to protecting people here from unfair heating oil practices and profiteering. Mary Lou McDonald says the visit has “created expectations” in terms of delivering support for families here.
