The real issue is not even that @elonmusk is a trillionaire, but it is how a country that is producing such unprecedented wealth can fail to provide healthcare for all its citizens. It is a values issue. We need a New Deal for our time. @EleanorClift @MarkHalperin

Elon is not the problem… There are 193 countries in the world and 177 of them receive US taxpayer money from Congress. 177 of 193. Thats 91.7% of the world. Its not Congress’s money. Its your money, my money, our kid’s money etc. Americans are being screwed. Not by Elon…

@RoKhanna @mcuban @ericschmidt So promise free things, raise taxes and increase the Federal debt? How’s that working out for us? Things are unaffordable because we keep spending more money that we don’t have. If you truly care about the next generation, you’d balance the budget and cut the deficit.

.@mcuban have you seen @ericschmidt booed by young graduates preaching how AI will solve all? I am not an AI doomer or accelerationist. I am an AI democratist. But AI is not a panacea for our economic divides. Our elite class is totally out of touch. Young folks see an unfair and lopsided economy where money lenders & speculators are obscenely wealthy while they can't afford a house or education. We are in a new Gilded Age. We need a home guarantee for young Americans by 35 if they work for 7 years. A jobs program for them after school. Childcare at $10 day. Medicare for All so healthcare isn't tied to your work. Free trade schools and public college. An industrial investment bank financing small and medium size manufacturers that make things we currently import. Tech institutes that prepare Americans to use AI in a small business, government agency, or factory floor. An end to data center extraction taking a community's water and jacking up their bills, sucking all the money in the hands of a few tech billionaires. A tax on agentic AI more than human workers. A tax on billionaires and, yes, trillionaires. An end to foreign wars. An end to aid to nations that commit genocide. I call it a Team America agenda.
Mark Cuban@mcuban

So 2024. What both parties miss is that AI can be a great government vs business equalizer. If government hires people willing and able to learn how to use the same AI available to everyone, from any number of domestic model makers, it has the opportunity to serve Americans, adequately at worst, more productively and effectively , if done well and transparently The more efficient government is, the harder companies have to work to outperform it. That makes for more opportunity. What both parties have to realize is that the problem that will accelerate in this new world is crony capitalism. Both parties excel at giving our taxpayer money to their friends. Like all new technologies, AI will create new pockets of wealth that will try to buy our politicians. From both parties. The more transparency we require in government, the more we respect the right of the people to challenge that largesse, the more we restrict the ability of politicians to receive dark money , and reward their friends, the better the quality of life will be across the country. Whether you like it or not, AI has changed everything, except , our government , our politics and our politicians. Which have not changed at all. So here we are. Talking about parties and politicians that are thinking in the past. Like it’s still 2024. That’s a problem for all of us.

@RoKhanna Why are Americans less healthy and less educated despite the federal government spending more money than any other country? The Democrat plan of spending more isn’t getting better results.

This the basic difference. Republicans believe that that if you let the wealthy spend capital it will make Americans prosperous. Democrats believe that the federal government investing in the healthcare & education of our people will make America prosperous & productive.

@RoKhanna I am highly confident society will derive greater benefit if that capital is in Elon’s hands than in the hands of the government.

That some do not see how the rapid acceleration of wealth inequality is tearing this country apart is a misreading of history. Read about the Gilded Age or the causes of revolution. I am for Team America. If America has been good to you, you need to do good for America.
Aseem@aseemchandra

@altcap @zerohedge @elonmusk @Tesla @SpaceX Incentives drive behavior. @RoKhanna is smart, and his incentive is to pander to his base for votes, rather than follow logic and take a position that benefits society. Stop voting for this BS and his position will change.

Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

@gc22gc @spencerpratt His appeal was to all votes for common sense issues plaguing LA. He stayed on message with the major pain points. He didn’t have say he was MAGA at all and it isn’t the reason he lost. He picked up a lot of Democrat votes by not obsessing over party affiliation.

BANNON: @spencerpratt ran a fantastic campaign, but he was upfront that he’s not MAGA. I said he was Trumpian in style and attitude, but not MAGA. The stolen 2020 election, border security, and mass deportations are central to MAGA. He didn’t want to touch those issues. And not touching it, you see how he was defeated.

I just had this for the last three weeks. It’s definitely tennis elbow. You should wear a tennis elbow brace to relieve some of the pressure. You can buy one on Amazon for probably less than $15. Also, I had dry needling done and that hurt like the Dickens but at the same time provided great relief.

My biohacking/workout frens I have a question for you: I am having SEVERE pain in this part of my arm for almost 2 months. I’ve tried stretching and I’ve tried deep tissue massages. Nothing seems to be working. It’s getting to the point of affecting my lifting. I can barely grab ahold of a bar or dumbbell without a brutal stabbing sensation that makes me open my hand almost immediately. Funny enough I have not done Bpc-157/tb500 shots localized yet. But I would like that to be a last resort. Any suggestions?!

California Votin There are two key issues and they are related — 1) they allow mail in votes mailed thru Election Day and received a week later and 2) more importantly they allow ballot harvesting which is the mass canvassing and collection of ballots favorable to you. So this means that a late ballot harvesting operation can be deployed to game the system (ie telling Dems in the last week that bass will be in but we need to squeeze Pratt out). Obviously Florida now is a model system and California vote counting is a model of how to sow doubt by taking weeks rather than hours to count votes. And ballot harvesting is banned in most states and should be banned everywhere as it promotes people sitting around tables pressured to vote certain ways as their ballots are collected by partisans. Add loose registration rules in states with a lot of non-citizens and you compound these problems. Mail in votes should be counted only if received by the time the polls close and ballot harvesting should be banned and those two reforms would return fairness. And of course in California proof of citizenship is essential as well to provide confidence in the count. But it’s the harvesting rules that likely are the most problematic.

From a short term perspective it makes sense for Bass to run against Raman. However, from a long term perspective, the CA establishment doesn’t want Pratt’s messaging campaign for the next five months. Bass and Raman are two sides of the same coin. Pratt would be a major disruptor to CA politics. The longer Pratt runs the more he exposes CA’s corruption and poor results.

The LA mayor stuff is the dumbest conspiracy theory I've ever heard & makes no sense. Dem establishment/Bass wanted Pratt, not Raman, to advance. Bass crushes Pratt in a 1-on-1 by 18 pt, while Raman beat Bass by 4. Pratt's the rarity in LA less popular than the unpopular Bass!

The vast majority of first world countries require voter ID. They recognize that voter ID is a way to prevent fraud. These same countries also ban mail-in ballots. California does almost the opposite of what the vast majority of countries do to secure their elections. Go figure!

Right-wing spin: California isn’t letting people “vote with a gym card.” It’s using lawful fallback ID rules so eligible voters aren’t disenfranchised. And “blocking an audit” means resisting an unlawful federal grab of sensitive voter data. This is suppression dressed up as integrity.

🚨Our office is leading a coalition of 13 states in support of a U.S. Department of Labor proposed rule to raise prevailing wage requirements for foreign workers in the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and PERM programs. The change aims to better protect American jobs, wages, and working conditions from the displacement and wage arbitrage caused by the current H-1B system. The existing H-1B program too often enables employers to import cheap foreign labor, displacing U.S. workers and suppressing wages. Most employers are not even required to attempt to recruit American workers first before hiring H-1B workers, and enforcement of existing safeguards has been weak. It’s difficult to imagine a more disastrous and harmful policy. We are proud to lead these states and stand with the Trump administration to fix it. Read more below:
